In the classifications of Japanese folklore, powerful creatures with horns on their heads are called 'Oni'.
Unlike the Western concept where 'ghost' is categorized as a kind of ethereal spirit or soul.
In Japan, if something is referred to as 'Oni', the first impression is directly 'strong' and 'brave'.
Therefore, when a monkey becomes a demon, it should be called a [Monkey Oni].
As Lann guided his way through the mountains, he immediately sensed the monkey Oni stealthily swinging through the branches, jumping down to ambush them.
Though it seemed like a dead silence within the [Everdark], this dead silence largely came from its resemblance to the Yellow Springs Underworld.
Such a huge thing crashing down through branches and leaves, Lann couldn't possibly not hear it.
So at the moment the monkey Oni held its spear and fell, Lann had already started to act first!
With a crisp, smooth gliding step, he retreated a bit.
