"Hoo~"
A sound of shimmering light flickered.
Though it was shimmering light, Lann's most immediate feeling was 'refreshing'.
It was like after staying in the sullied realm of the Lord of Eternal Darkness for too long, suddenly finding oneself amidst a rejuvenating mountain retreat.
Babbling brooks, dense cedar forests, even birdsong and fragrant flowers.
Overall, a harmony and purity completely incompatible with the Lord of Eternal Darkness and the World of the Living.
In the realm where ordinary people cannot see or hear.
Always gripping the knife handle, completely motionless, staring at the demon monk opposite—Lann only saw through his peripheral vision.
A foot paw suddenly stepped down beside him.
It was a claw resembling the fierce beast of a lion or tiger, but covered entirely with azure scales with fine golden patterns, exuding nobility.
The perfect form and scales unexpectedly evoked a sense of admiration in the mentally strained Lann.
