A sinister shadow moved through the buildings, sharp claws scratching the walls, sinking deeply in, climbing over the barriers from the ground. The Peacekeepers noticed them and unleashed gunfire, taking down most of the Demons, but a few still breached the defenses.
The Soldiers and Anonymous began to retreat, trying to protect the citizens, but they were too slow, the stagnant water hindering their pace, and the Demons descended.
"Go back!"
The chief shouted, ordering a woman back into the building, but he had no time to evade, quickly drawing his gun and opening fire.
He desperately mustered his courage, facing death, the fire in his hand continuously illuminating the monstrous face of the Demon.
He saw bullets sparking crimson dots on the mutated flesh, but it didn't stop the advancing Demon.
Going to die.
The chief thought this, but the next second his view suddenly changed, feeling a pain before being fiercely struck away, falling down the steps, in the stagnant water.
