Kana turned to look in the direction of the sound.
He saw the first-born, lively little fire spirit, staring at him with its big, round eyes, flickering with a charming, curious flame, gazing intently and full of exploratory meaning.
Its mouth, composed of jumping flames, opened and closed, emitting a marvelous sound like a warm greeting, "whoosh whoosh."
Its small, orange flame body swayed happily left and right with the sound, and the little arms and legs of flame waved freely, revealing its childlike innocence and delightful vitality.
"Heh, what a cute little thing."
Kana was amused by this childlike scene, his lips curled into a smile as he extended his finger, across a gap of space, lightly pointing at the little creature with a touch of affection.
Though the fingertip didn't make direct contact, it experienced a subtle, rule-layered miraculous touch with the dancing flames.
