The gang of thugs all followed with sinister smiles.
The woman was so startled her face turned white: "Who are you people? I'm leaving, don't block me."
A thug said: "We're here to protect you. Look, you're all alone, so we thought we'd escort you safely!"
"That's right, we're just being considerate."
"You look so pretty, we're just afraid some bad guys might bully you."
The thugs burst out laughing.
The woman became even more scared: "I don't know you, I don't need your protection. Get out of my way, or I'll call the police."
"Call the police?"
The thug looked indifferent.
"We're protecting you out of kindness, how can you repay good with evil?"
"But we're good guys, we won't bicker with a beauty. How about we take you to a safe place?"
"Let us bring you happiness!"
The thugs all laughed again.
"I think this alley is pretty safe!" one thug said.
