They didn't have to wait more than a few minutes before they understood why.
The Exotic Beast horde in front of them suddenly parted, opening up a passage.
A single Exotic Beast, its body twice the size of the others, strolled over with more than a dozen burly Exotic Beasts whose bodies were also clearly larger than the rest.
Their gray fur was different from the other Exotic Beasts.
In comparison, it looked much brighter and glossier.
Especially that biggest Exotic Beast, which looked like a calf; its gray fur had a faint sheen to it.
Its eyes were different from the other Exotic Beasts too.
The gaze of the other Exotic Beasts was almost all chaos and slaughter.
Its eyes, though, were much more human-like, as if it had gained intelligence.
The dozen or so beside it also had a gaze that differed from the rest, but their intelligence was clearly lower than its.
There was no doubt about it.
Wolf packs have wolf kings.
