Under the dark sky, swarms of vampire bats flew across the city, leaving only devastation and bloodshed in their wake.
As the capital of the duchy, Borelion naturally housed the largest number of guards and knights. The knights had quickly responded to the vampire ambush; the bats could easily crush these infantry, but they were useless against the fully armed knights.
"Bring me my War Axe!" Theodoric looked at his domain and city being plagued by vampires, his eyes wide with anger, the Duke himself shouted to his attendant: "I will personally go out to meet the enemy!"
The answer was a head that rolled down from the garden terrace.
