It was approaching noon.
Jason finally emerged from his room, yawning. He usually kept watch at night, so he slept in late and was generally the last one in the team to get up. Rubbing his sleep-filled eyes, Jason slowly walked towards the stairs.
Suddenly, his legs were caught by something, causing him to trip. He immediately tumbled down like a ball, landing on the deck below.
Jason lay there on the deck, bewildered.
What happened? What tripped me?
Just then, a laugh like silver bells echoed nearby.
Jason immediately scrambled to his feet and looked up. He saw the silver-haired Two sitting on the edge of the second-floor railing, laughing heartily. In her hand, she twirled a thin Silver Thread.
So that's what tripped me.
"Damn it, you again! You're getting more and more mischievous," Jason exclaimed, a mix of helplessness and anger in his voice as he looked at the laughing Two.
