Jason watched nervously from the side.
"Honestly, he really looks like a father waiting for his child's birth," Chadite whispered in Alka's ear.
Alka nodded in agreement. Jason was even sweating from nervousness.
"It's coming out!" Matilda, observing the egg, exclaimed. She felt like she was assisting in a birth.
As her words fell, cracks appeared on the eggshell with a sharp CRACK.
A rainbow-colored, crystal-like claw reached out. Its structure was like crystal, yet it gave off a soft, pliable sensation rather than hardness. The palm had five small claws, waving about.
Soon, the cracks grew larger. A head forcefully pushed its way out from inside.
"CHIRP!"
It was a peculiar, infantile cry.
