Lin Daozi replied awkwardly, "I can step in for this matter once, but even then the other side will reluctantly send someone to just go through the motions. During your investigation, they will still passively await action, and by then I won't be able to find fault with anything, leaving you in a difficult position." Seeing Pei Yan's displeasure grow deeper, Lin Daozi quickly spoke before Pei Yan could, "It's not that there isn't a way to solve this. Don't you have the token my teacher granted?"
"They will comply? Just by using this, they won't be double-dealing anymore?" Pei Yan scoffed upon hearing this.
"You're right, they might double-deal before, but aren't you here now?" Lin Daozi looked at Pei Yan meaningfully, half-smiling.
