Thorne stood before the large window, his hands clasped behind his back as he stared into the distance.
The grounds below were still filled with warriors. Swords clashed, commands rang through the courtyard, and the occasional howl of a wolf shook the air.
But Thorne heard none of it. His mind remained fixed on one person.
Adina. It had been two days since he last heard anything about her. It was taking everything in him not to barge into Thessara's chambers and demand that same potion she'd given him.
He knew she was alive now. She was no longer under the spell. He knew she had remembered him.
But that wasn't enough. Not anymore.
The door opened behind him, and Thessara stepped inside, carrying several scrolls against her chest.
