"He has been eating humans for a while. Won't that quench his hunger?" Claude walked with his head down.
"Actually, it's bad for him." Hewey hummed as if thinking. "The wolves from before didn't have to think of coexisting, so they ate and ate human flesh. Right now, because Len has been eating a lot of humans, he has kickstarted his hunger for it. He might need some kind of flushing or a withdrawal phase."
Claude frowned… only to realize that it made sense. Human flesh was considered a drug for wolves during this era. Since Len always had a hit, he grew addicted to it. It was also the reason why the wolves of Widow's Moor rarely feasted on humans.
They reached a spot in the snowfields, but another peddler stood guard. Hewey smiled at the wolf's scarred face. "Yo, Bummer, can we see Len? Claudie's really worried."
