Chapter 125 - 125

The sun.

The sun rose on the horizon.

Its light blinded entire regions.

Flowers swayed with the wind.

The sea warmed under its heat.

And the animals awakened beneath its glow.

...

...

...

In a city where the rain never ceased, civilians still rested in their homes. In one of the rooms, a woman sat on the bed, her bare back exposed.

Her husband, breathing slowly, opened his eyes as he noticed her. A small smile appeared. His hands reached her waist, pulling her against his chest.

She laughed. Her fingers pressed against his chest, her laughter mixing with the kisses he placed along her neck. In a low voice, she told him to stop, even as she closed her eyes at each touch.

Afterward, she rested her head on his arm, gently caressing his skin. As she inhaled, she thought about the mission they had that day. She found it pleasant to begin the morning with intimacy, since they would not have another chance during work.

The man responded lightly, wrapping his arms more firmly around her waist.

Concern about Flowey arose. He feared waking her. The woman reassured him, reminding him they would be quiet. With that, he gave in.

Moving, he positioned himself over her. The woman wrapped her arms around his shoulders, smiling softly. His hand moved slowly along her exposed hips, reaching the strap of her clothing and sliding it down.

He asked if she was ready. The woman took a deep breath, feeling the vulnerability of the moment.

But before she could respond...

The windows shattered.

A light brighter than any star burst into the room with a thunderous sound. There was no time to react. Everything was undone.

Buildings collapsed. For a brief moment, the clouds parted, allowing sunlight to touch the city.

But there was no one left to appreciate it.

A massive void occupied the site of the explosion. Houses reduced to rubble. Civilians farther from the impact groaned in pain. Children cried before lifeless bodies. Adults clutched their children tightly. Entire families had vanished.

From the sky, a colossal aircraft appeared. Above it, the leader observed with arms crossed. Soldiers descended by ropes. He followed, using small thrusters in his suit to land.

Around him, he assessed the destruction. Bringing two fingers to his ear, he commented that they had overdone the attack and ordered the area to be searched, stating that a base with powerful weapons should be there.

The soldiers obeyed immediately.

But a purple light appeared among them.

Bodies were thrown into the air.

Rito reacted with tension, ordering them not to let the survivor approach and demanding immediate fire.

Soldiers advanced.

The silhouette responded.

A heavy blade spun in her hands as she moved like lightning. Flashes cut through space. Bodies fell.

Then she stood before him.

Morgana.

The blade came down with brutal speed. The air warped around it.

Rito's eyes widened.

And he smiled.

An invisible barrier intercepted the strike. The force of the impact threw Morgana back, raising smoke.

He ordered more shots.

The ship responded with a rain of white energy. The attack forced Rito to cover his face as he was pulled back into the aircraft.

When it stopped, silence took over.

The smoke began to contract.

Rito, before the control panel, ordered the defensive system activated.

Then she reappeared.

Morgana stood, surrounded by ashes that condensed into her blade. The built-in armor reflected the light. Her face was wounded, her lips marked with blood, her eyes steady.

With a spin, a wave of wind struck the ship.

Soldiers lost balance. Some were thrown out. Others collapsed unconscious.

Rito ran to the panel, falling repeatedly. He pressed commands, demanding a response. There was none.

He climbed onto the chair.

Pressed a red button.

And decided he would destroy NeonyRain with his own hands.

Outside, kneeling, Morgana looked at what remained of the city. Her body trembled. She struck the ground, overcome with pain.

Then she heard it.

A growing hum.

She froze.

Beneath the ship, a cannon formed. Dark energy spiraled, condensing into a sphere.

Faced with that, Morgana simply accepted it. She thought that, when she was gone, she hoped to find mercy from Zyrionq.

She covered her ears. Curled her body.

The sound stopped.

The sphere was fired.

...

...

...

Some time later, Rito woke up.

He tried to move. His leg was trapped.

He relaxed, staring at the bodies around him. Dead. Destroyed.

He wondered if surviving was a blessing or a curse.

No answer.

He tried to free himself. Failed.

Then he pulled.

His body gave way under the effort. The pain made his eyes widen.

And he managed.

He fell, coughing, crying.

As he dragged himself forward, he noticed something.

His heart raced.

He found a phone trapped among the debris. He brought it to his ear.

A voice answered on the other side, asking about the emergency. Rito tried to speak. Blood interrupted him.

He forced the words out.

He needed rescue.

Immediately.
