Strictly speaking, as of now Wan Mingchuan is definitely the number one cultivator in the human world.
From embarking on the path of cultivation to now, it's been less than a year, and he has ascended from an ordinary mortal to a high-level cultivator. It may not be unprecedented, but at least it's unlikely that anyone will surpass him in the short term.
Especially after Ouyang Qing learned about Mr. Jiang's plan to correct the chaos, which involves nurturing the Divine Beasts and urging the demon race to migrate, leaving the wilderness to human cultivators. He can predict that once all Four Symbols Divine Beasts ascend successfully, the wilderness will likely not descend at night anymore.
At that time, the spiritual energy that comes to the human world at night will be gone!
He pondered that Mr. Jiang urgently convened the Immortal Ascension Conference probably to give more human race cultivators a chance.
