Chapter 372 - Chapter 371: The Claymore Appears

The Claymore arrived, striding gracefully like a model on the runway. Her slender figure, bathed in the afterglow, looked like an immortal descending into the mortal world. The orange light reflecting off her silver armor made her look like a war goddess. Only her eyes were unsettling—those golden eyes were sharp and venomous, like a snake's.

Zhang Dong gripped his weapon tightly. This woman gave him a sense of danger stronger than any Yoma.

All Claymore warriors were pale, because fusing with dragon flesh bleached all color from their bodies. Their perfect skin came from absorbing chunks of dragon meat. When Kaitou Kid saw her for the first time, his first thought was that Asarakam extract could be turned into cosmetics. It would definitely be a best-seller on Earth. She was a walking advertisement—Dragonblood Cosmetics would be a hit.

Metal shoulder guards, skirt armor, iron boots—but the most eye-catching part was the Claymore on her back. That sword was her trademark, forged specifically to kill Asarakams. It could slice through Yoma like tofu. In the entire manga, the sword had never once broken, no matter what enemy she faced.

Now, the Claymore girl smiled as she walked into the small village, seemingly unfazed by anything strange.

The locals were terrified of her, but Earthlings found her beautiful and were curious. An American soldier named Oss even whistled at her, trying to provoke her.

She didn't react. Their training had stripped away all human reactions. She sensed Yoma energy inside the house. But something was off—these villagers seemed to know exactly where the Yoma was.

"What… what a beautiful woman!" Even An Rong, as a woman, admitted defeat. Her own skin wasn't this pale. The Claymore girl's complexion was completely bloodless, and her figure was flawless—no fat anywhere.

As she entered the village, the Claymore girl finally noticed something strange. The light. It was nearly dusk, yet the village was as bright as midday. What was glowing under the eaves? She thought back to her two years of training in the organization. 'Has the world changed this much?'

"Miss, may I ask your name?"

She turned around and saw a man dressed in strange white clothes, wearing a tall hat. His face was hidden behind a monocle.

"You're not afraid of me?"

"You're a beautiful lady. Why would I be scared?" Kid said. Their conversation caught everyone's attention.

"Damn, you think the phantom thief's gonna steal her heart? Then I'll have no chance," Oss muttered, only to get a death glare from Zhang Dong.

The Claymore girl smiled. "I'm warrior Eliza from the organization."

Didn't ring any bells. Kid probably only remembered the main characters. He stayed calm and returned the smile. "So is the current No. 6 still Phantom Miria?" He didn't ask about No. 47, worried she might not recognize the number.

"You seem very interested in us Claymores?"

"Seems that way." From Eliza's eyes, Liu A'dou caught a flicker of surprise. Clearly, she had heard of Miria. That was enough.

That meant this was Clare's era. Next question: "Is the Northern Quadrant still under Isley's control?"

Eliza didn't answer. She just looked at him like he was an idiot. That told Liu A'dou all he needed—yes, the North was still ruled by an Abyssal One.

"I see. You can go back now. I'll send the money to the organization."

"...?" Now it was Eliza's turn to be shocked. "You don't want me to help kill the Yoma?"

"You guys are way too slow. We already took care of the Yoma," Kid said with a smile. "If I were you, I'd seriously consider developing some kind of mount. At your walking speed, even a cold dish would rot before you got there."

"That won't do." The Claymore girl couldn't accept seeing a Yoma and walking away empty-handed. As she spoke, she reached back to draw her sword.

Clang—

The blade gleamed like the moon, sharp as wind. This was the weapon of the Claymore warriors. "Slaying Yoma is our job."

She was seriously committed. Most Claymore warriors were like this—aside from a few mentally unstable ones, the rest really were willing to endure hardship just to protect humanity.

Kid knew words wouldn't convince her. So he'd let her see it with her own eyes.

She took a few steps toward the room where the Yoma was held but noticed something strange. The Yoma wasn't trying to escape. It was completely different from any Yoma she'd seen before.

When she pushed open the door, even she gasped. Inside were two Yoma. One was already a corpse, torn open and gutted, the scene horrifying.

The other looked like it was asleep, with a clear device clamped over its mouth and nose.

'What is going on with this village??'

"What is going on with this village?" muttered the man in black robes. He was following the Claymore girl to handle the payment as her proxy. He'd heard this village was already wiped out by Yoma. But now there were people here—people bold enough to invite a Claymore warrior?

No one used to dare live in places like this.

Suddenly, he felt his shadow stretch. Looking up, he saw a fireball fly across the sky. "Lately, even meteors are common," he mumbled, pulling on the reins and continuing forward. He couldn't miss the payment. Every mission fee was an important source of income for the organization. Hiring a Claymore to kill a Yoma wasn't cheap. A bag of gold, no bargaining.

The man in black and the fireball headed in the same direction.

Boom! Boom! Boom!—

The thunderous explosions forced Eliza to step back out of the house. Violent wind slammed through the village, swirling and battering everything, making it hard to stay on one's feet.

"What?!" Eliza's face finally changed. What did she just see?

In the darkening sky, several lights descended—like the Planets themselves were crashing down from above.

The Planetry sky was falling. Eliza almost raised her sword on instinct.

"It's Wu Gang No. 2." Because the team was worried about the expedition's safety, the second ship was launched immediately after its retrofit. It just happened to arrive now.

The Wu Gang, its steel body massive, hovered mid-air. Eliza had never seen anything so grand in her life.

Flashing lights. The landing gear opened. The craft shot past the village and landed on the nearby plains.

Eliza stood frozen. She didn't know what to do. Kid thought, 'Humans from Earth just arrived on this planet. Who knows if that's good or bad?' All he could do was help guide things toward a peaceful outcome. Hopefully Earthlings and the locals could get along.

It was manageable back on the experimental island. But if the two major nations of this war-torn continent found out Earthlings were here… who knows what chaos that would bring?

"Miss Eliza, you've seen that the Yoma is under our control. You can head back now," Kid said.

Eliza looked stunned. "You people came from the sky?"

She thought the Wu Gang was some kind of sky city.

Kid figured this was hard to explain. It was the collision of two different civilizations from different planets. "We're from Earth. We came across the Planets to get here."

So yes, they came from the sky. Eliza didn't know what Earth was. That's as much as she could grasp.

On 'Einstein Planet,' human science wasn't very advanced. All they knew to do was crudely graft different chunks of flesh together to make Claymore warriors. It wasn't hard to do. No theory—just trial and error.

Earth's visitors, on the other hand, had a much higher level of science. They couldn't make monsters, but they could grow artificial organs with precision and repeatability.

Not to mention anything too complex—even Earth's surgeons were better at operating than this world's "organization." What kind of impact Earthlings would have on this planet was still a complete unknown.
