Chapter 280 - Vs Cap

Unable to hesitate any longer, Hawkeye hurriedly drew another arrow from behind him, aiming at Blaine's arrow and firing. Hawkeye was truly clever—if he couldn't avoid it, he would destroy it. It was a classic tactic.

But he underestimated Blaine's Absolute Hit. Even after the arrow was shattered, the fragments and the remaining shaft did not fall to the ground. Instead, they continued to fly straight toward Hawkeye.

D—

The exchange between the two seemed long in description, but in reality, it was over in a flash of lightning.

The shattered arrow abruptly changed direction and shot straight toward the car Hawkeye was using for cover. Then the magic circle detonated. Since it was only an ordinary arrow, the magic circle it carried was naturally weaker than those on elemental arrows.

Even so, an ordinary arrow combined with a weakened magical shockwave was still enough to blow an aircraft to pieces.

At the instant of the explosion, a black figure flashed in front of Blaine and rushed directly into the heart of the blast. The explosion echoed for nearly ten seconds before the scene at its center was revealed.

"Cough, cough, cough, cough…"

Before anyone could be seen, coughing was heard.

"My name is T'Challa."

Black Panther had actually used his own body to block the explosion for Hawkeye. It seemed to be his response to Hawkeye's earlier self-introduction—Black Panther had now given his name as well.

"Tsk, tsk."

Unexpectedly, the enemies who had just been fighting each other were now willing to take an explosion for one another. Without Black Panther, all that would have remained here would be a scene of mangled flesh and shattered bones.

Although Hawkeye's physique far surpassed that of an ordinary person, in front of an explosive magic circle he was still as fragile as paper—one poke and he would break.

"Well, being known this way isn't bad,"

"I kind of like it."

As Hawkeye finished speaking, he rolled over, and another arrow was already in his hand.

Three—

Whoosh—

D—

Whoosh—

With just that single motion of rolling and standing up, Hawkeye fired more than ten arrows in rapid succession.

"Alright, kid, that hand speed isn't bad."

This time, Blaine was genuinely surprised. Hawkeye could wield arrows at such a high level—no wonder he had several kids. His wife must be very satisfied.

Using Hawkeye's cover, Black Panther leapt forward as well, moving like a real cheetah on the hunt. He sprang straight from the ground and lunged directly at Blaine's face.

"Damn, that coordination is pretty good."

With the aid of his mind-reading ability, Blaine could clearly perceive the small thoughts of both Hawkeye and Black Panther. On top of that, Hawkeye's arrows slowed their advance.

In Blaine's eyes, the arrows moved no faster than snails. With a flick of his fingers, he casually knocked them aside.

Boom—

Boom—

There were explosive arrows among them, but it made no difference. Once the explosions went off, not only the explosive arrows but also the splitting arrows and the electrically charged arrows all shared the same fate—none could escape being detonated by Blaine.

After dealing with all the arrows, Black Panther rushed in.

Seeing the confidence beneath Black Panther's mask, Blaine—hidden under his hood—smiled contemptuously. He raised the elemental bow in his hand and swung it out in what seemed like a casual motion. The strike landed squarely on Black Panther's abdomen, releasing an overwhelming shockwave.

Black Panther was sent flying, just like an arrow a moment ago.

"Well? Still not awake?"

After speaking, Blaine lifted his legs and sprinted toward Hawkeye. To everyone else, his movement was no different from teleportation.

Hearing the Bounty Hunter's provocation, Hawkeye raised his arm to fire two more arrows, only to suddenly realize that the Bounty Hunter standing before him had vanished.

Crack—

The sound of breaking bones rang out as pain surged through Hawkeye. The bow that had once felt light in his hands now seemed to weigh a thousand catties.

This was the result of Blaine deliberately controlling his strength. At absolute speed, his already terrifying power was amplified even further.

He had merely tapped Hawkeye's arm lightly, yet the bones shattered. If he had struck harder, Hawkeye would have been reduced to pulp.

Black Panther, who had just been blasted away, saw the situation turn dire and tried to leap over to save Hawkeye again.

However, Blaine had long since anticipated his thoughts. With a slight bend of his legs, he jumped three or four meters straight up from where he stood. It was as if Earth's gravity meant nothing to him—like he was standing on the moon.

Just as Blaine rose into the air, Black Panther rushed to the spot where he had been standing. Dropping to one knee, Black Panther slammed his fist into the ground.

At the same time, a surge of explosive energy swept outward. This was the kinetic energy Black Panther had stored from previous battles.

But after missing his target, it was already too late to retreat.

Before Black Panther could rise, he felt a massive weight crash down upon him, like a train falling from the sky and smashing into him mercilessly.

Crack…

Several more bones snapped. Even wearing Wakanda's most advanced vibranium armor, Black Panther could not withstand the Bounty Hunter's blow. This time, several ribs were likely broken.

With a single strike, both sides had suffered losses. Scarlet Witch had vomited blood and retreated, Vision was embedded in an airplane, and both Clint and T'Challa had sustained broken bones.

Were the Avengers really this fragile, vulnerable to a single person? At this moment, a huge question mark formed in everyone's mind.

For so long, they had been invincible on every mission. They never imagined that nearly all of them would fall at the hands of one man. Blaine's presence was a crushing blow to their confidence.

"Steve, what should we do?"

"Fight him."

Captain America and Bucky had also seen everything from a distance. Bucky looked to Captain America and asked, and Captain America's answer was the same as always.

"Should we go too, Tony?"

"What do you think?"

As Captain America, Bucky, and Falcon advanced toward Blaine, Iron Man and the Iron Patriot also moved.

At this point, only Natasha remained still. No one knew what kind of move she was preparing.

The five of them reached Blaine quickly. Captain America glanced at the two injured men on the ground, the coldness in his eyes growing heavier.

As for Blaine, he slung the elemental bow behind his back and casually slipped his hands into his pockets, carrying his contempt to the very end.

"Mr. Hunter, I know we can't beat you,"

"But today, I still have to fight you."

"That's exactly what I want. Don't waste words—come at me together."

Seeing Tony hesitate, Blaine urged them on impatiently.

"You're insane."

Captain America had long disliked Blaine—not just now. From the very first time they met, Blaine had known that a clash between him and Captain America was inevitable.
