Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Nega Tribe

Bursting through the doors is Flame, along with Breeze and Opal on his back. The dragon stops mid-flight for the two to jump off. The startled queen leaves her blue and red throne and hurries over to her son and his friends, holding her blue dress up while her light blue heels click against the floor. She pulls Breeze into her and hugs him.

"Oh, Breeze. I was worried you would be captured. The Nega Tribe is dangerous."- the queen.

"That's why we have to hide, Queen Serene."- Opal.

Flame nods.

"I know. Perhaps Tig and his men will fend them off. But I worry that Jestica might still suffer casualties."- Serene.

"Don't worry, mother! If someone has informed Tig about the Nega Tribe, the town will be ready for them! The Knights of Jestica are probably already marching to them."- Breeze, smiling with hands behind his back.

"You may be right, Breeze! (patting his head) You are such a smart thing!"- Serene.

"I know Tig told this guy (thumbing at Flame) not to engage in a fight against the Tribe. But, like, what if we attack them when they least expect us with the lizard's help?"- Opal.

"Absolutely not! Flame could get hurt! And the Nega Tribe has far more spatial awareness than anticipated!"- Serene, hugging the dragon.

"It would probably be best if we stayed safe, Opal. We just have to have faith."- Breeze, with worried eyes.

"Ugh! Fine! I guess we'll just wait somewhere in the castle then."- Opal.

Meanwhile, the Tribe itself has three people walking through the woods. Brownish tree barks and dark leaves surrounding them.

Walking in front is a man in a dark hood. He had a tall, muscular build, dark skin, and a white mustache. His black boots press the ground as he presses onward.

Behind him are his two hooded associates: a pale-skinned, black-haired girl in a purple hood, and a blue- haired girl in a blue hood. The black-haired girl has a mischievous grin, while the blue-haired one is nervous.

"Hehehe! That brat thought his dragon could get rid of us?! Wishful thinking!"- the purple girl.

"Yet, somehow, the airship remained intact despite the damage. Somehow, as in thanks to my brilliant magic."- the mustachioed one.

"Y-yes! T-that was quick thinking, Master Mence!"- the blue-haired one, smiling at him.

"Shut up, Tear."- Mence, glaring at her.

"Eep! Yes, Master! Sorry!"- Tear, jumpy.

"Yo, Master! We there yet?"- the purple-haired one.

"Just about, Zina. Soon, all of Jestica will tremble before our Dark Lord, Nega."- Mence, raising his fist with an evil smile.

"Hahahaha! For real! Lady Detta's gonna be so proud of us, too! Once we raid this ugly and mid kingdom! Seriously, there's too much color, man!"- Zina.

"I-I just hope that we don't run into any more trouble like that dragon…"- Tear.

"(mocking Tear's voice) "I-I just hope we don't run into any more trouble-" Shut up, already! Your scared pipsqueak voice is nails on a chalkboard!"- Zina, hands on her hips while looking at Tear.

"I'll be quiet."- Tear, frowning at the ground.

Suddenly, a dozen arrows come their way. Elemental arrows that consist of lightning, ice, and fire. The tribe dodges by jumping into the bushes on the side.

Tear, however, was unfortunate. Because as she attempted to hide, she got punched in the face by a Jestica knight and landed on her back. She attempted to fight back against the knight with her ice magic by blasting the knight. But they dodge and grab her by the neck.

"Curses! It's like the knights knew we were closing in!"- Mence.

"But how could they ambush us? I thought they were stupid as heck!"- Zina.

"Let's just get them out of our way so we can get to the kingdom and kidnap the Prince."- Mence.

Mence uses his dark magic to materialize a scythe in his hands. Zina summons purple lightning bolts at the knights who are behind them. It not only electrocutes them, but it sends them flying. Mence was swinging his weapon against one knight. The knight is holding their own against Mence, blocking his attacks with just a two-handed sword. The weapons just kept colliding.

While they aren't looking, an archer has her eyes set on a target, Zina. Mence is the first to notice after whipping out that knight. As the arrow fires, Mence tackles Zina to the ground, and the arrow only lands on a tree bark.

Mence gets off her with his scythe grasped intensely in both his hands as he glares at the archer.

Mence softens his expression as he looks at Zina.

"Wait here. I'll deal with that pest."- Mence.

He rushes forward at the archer. The lady fires multiple arrows at him, to which he dodges. He gets even closer. But the archer counters with a swift kick to the man's chin. An upward kick, if you will.

Tear feels the air being squeezed out of her. Luckily, before she could die, she was thrown to the ground harshly. But she gets up quickly to go check on her injured master.

Tear gets hit in the head by a spear. The flat part of it, where it only knocked her unconscious. She falls to the ground.

The spear's wielder, Tig, spits at her face.

"Tch, Nega Tribe trash. Just wait until the Queen deals with you."- Tig.

Zina rushes to pick up Mence and carries him to safety. They retreated.

The archer targets them. Tig places his paw on her shoulder and shakes his head.

"They will come back. But we should be grateful that they didn't even reach the kingdom this time. This counts as a victory. Let's return home with one of the crooks captured."- Tig.

The tanned warrior bows her head.
