After defeating the Pokémon controlled by Meloetta's song, Kommo-o turned its gaze toward Morey, who stood at the top of the altar.
"Damn it..." Morey stumbled back in terror. His six main Pokémon were completely tied up by Caroline's team, leaving him completely defenseless.
Kommo-o kicked off the ground, creating a violent sonic boom as it appeared instantly before Morey. Its fist swung forward with devastating force.
With this single punch, Morey should have died without question.

A barrier formed from dark energy materialized in Kommo-o's path, blocking the attack completely.

Not only Kommo-o, but even Morey himself seemed surprised by the sudden intervention.

Many people, including Roy, had wondered why Darkrai would attack humans.
Even though the nightmare authority it wielded leaned toward the dark side and could initiate attacks independently, the circumstances were different. There had to be a motive behind it.
What was that motivation?
Now, the truth had finally surfaced.
Darkrai had been captured by the president of the Illuminati.
There were many cases of Legendary Pokémon submitting to human Trainers. An Entei had followed a China Trainer fifty years ago, only returning to Ho-Oh's guard after its Trainer's death.
However, when Darkrai first appeared in the public eye, it was already under someone's control.
Darkrai stared silently at Kommo-o and Roy. The orders it had received were to secretly monitor Morey Ivan and Noah's actions, avoid unnecessary interference, and only act as a last resort.
Though it served as insurance, the more important goal was actually surveillance.
The one Darkrai followed didn't even trust his own subordinates completely.
Perhaps even that person hadn't expected his insurance would actually be needed.
Kommo-o, who disliked bullying the weak, erupted with amazing fighting spirit the moment it saw Darkrai. Even its mind trembled with excitement!
Outrage combined with Clanging Scales—two explosive states activated simultaneously!
A purple cyclone of dragon-type sound waves erupted from Kommo-o as it rushed toward Darkrai in an instant, unleashing the combat techniques it took pride in.

Darkrai quickly stirred up the dark cyclone surrounding it, releasing another Dark Pulse.
Unlike the previous time when it was knocked back, this time Kommo-o's fist completely resisted Darkrai's dark power!

Darkrai let out a muffled grunt as its body was thrown backward.
Seeing this, Morey grew increasingly shocked.
"This dragon is outrageously powerful..."
The Elite class and the Legendary class existed at the same tier of power.
Due to their superior life forms, Legendary Pokémon held absolute advantages in all stats.
But this Kommo-o was different—it wasn't inferior to Darkrai in terms of base stats at all.
Roy understood why.
Through their Aura connection, he already knew Kommo-o's full capabilities.
Unlike the other three Totems who had mastered only one type of Totem aura inheritance, Kommo-o had mastered all of them.
The flow, explosion, and integration of the Totem aura, as well as its unique Totem armor ability.
Its technical principles and energy structure were remarkably similar to Necrozma's Prism Armor ability, providing extremely powerful defense.

The majority of Dark Void's power focused primarily on Kommo-o.

Kommo-o let out a pained roar for the first time. It felt as though its soul was being torn from its body, and every cell screamed in violent protest.
If not for its body being highly fused with Dragon and Fighting-type energy, it would have been sucked into the black hole instantly.
Even so, it couldn't stop this trend of soul extraction.
Defeat seemed inevitable.
"Hahaha!"
Morey felt immense satisfaction from this dramatic reversal and laughed. "The greatest strength of Legendary Pokémon will always be the authority they wield... This is a wall that ordinary Pokémon can never overcome."
"Unless they reach the realm of gods—"
Only by reaching that divine domain could ordinary Pokémon master power capable of contending with such authority.
But here, there was no force that could compete with the divine realm.
"Be buried here, Roy!" Morey shouted triumphantly.

As he placed this crystal onto the bracelet on his right hand, he spoke in a low voice.
"You seem to have forgotten that besides Mega Evolution, I possess another power..."
The moment those words fell, light erupted from the Z-Ring. Golden natural energy pulled toward Roy, bathing him in its glow.
A Z-Move?
Seeing this, Morey still didn't take it seriously.
A Z-Move against divine authority?
Ridiculous.
"Besides ordinary Z-Moves, there exists a very special type of Z-Power."

As the massive natural energy flooded in, Kommo-o released a sky-piercing cry. It felt tremendous instinct boiling within.
Soul, body, spirit, energy—everything was burning!
This was its exclusive Z-Move.
"Clangorous Soulblaze!"
A wave of purple dragon sound erupted from Kommo-o's entire body once more.
If the previous sound wave had been like a rushing waterfall, then the sound wave now was like the furious roar of an ocean!
Their power was worlds apart!
Horrifying sound waves swept toward the Dark Void and were drawn into the nightmare realm.
The Dark Void suddenly contracted. Then, with each passing second, the black hole expanded by another ring. In just a few breaths, the black hole had grown to thirty times its original size.

A shattering sound echoed.
The pupils of every creature present constricted as they all realized—this was the sound of Dark Void breaking.
Even Meloetta stopped singing in horror.
Roy immediately pulled out a Poké Ball and summoned Metagross.
Metagross instantly entered its Mega Evolution state, displaying its absolute defense form as it wrapped its body protectively around Roy.
The next moment—
A massive explosion thundered, and a dark torrent engulfed everyone present.

High above the Altar of the Sunne, the Pokémon engaged in legendary battles stopped their fighting and looked down at the sun totem being shattered by a surge of darkness.
