"I understand this. No matter which world we're in, it's incredibly important. I just want to make it clear that I don't harbor unnecessary sympathy or pity for any Pokémon. It's just that something feels off—something wrong that seems to connect all of us to this Guzzlord, or to any Pokémon for that matter."

"It's like being covered by an opaque net. We can't see the world beyond it, but we're shrouded by this layer of gray fog. We can only see what's immediately around us. In contrast, we can't see through to the real intentions behind everything."

When these philosophical words came from Zeraora's mouth, Roy raised his eyebrows vigilantly and looked at the Electric-type Pokémon. If even a Pokémon like Zeraora held such a wary attitude, then relying on his intuition alone, it seemed this situation truly warranted deeper consideration.

The thing to consider now wasn't whether Lucario could defeat an opponent, but rather what could be gained after defeating such a special adversary. More importantly, could they really ensure that their actions weren't being manipulated by some greater hand of fate?

Although it sounded like just a fable or a typical warning, when a Pokémon like Zeraora stated it directly and clearly, Roy felt this couldn't be mere coincidence.

In this world, it wasn't that evil organizations didn't exist. These organizations were hidden deep in the shadows and had never revealed themselves openly. Although Roy had never encountered them directly, he understood they existed—even if they had never appeared before him.

Could it be that some deeply hidden dark organization had something to do with this seemingly unconnected incident unfolding before them?

Although it might seem like unfounded worry, the intuition from a wild beast couldn't be ignored.

Perhaps it was excessive caution, but being extra thoughtful was better than failing to consider these aspects when facing difficulties.

"Even if we think about it, what we can do now is face whatever comes our way. If such a force appears before us, we can only confront it head-on, because they will always remain in the darkness while we're always in the light. What we can do is find our own path forward through all of this. As for those suspected organizations or forces and whatever they might be doing—it has nothing to do with us unless they actually reach out and touch something they shouldn't. Only then might we have a real connection with them. Only when two non-intersecting parallel lines touch at a single point, creating an intersection, will these reactions appear."

Hearing Roy's reasoning, Zeraora heaved a long sigh. Worrying about what might happen in the future was essentially unpredictable.

The reminder he could give had been delivered perfectly, even though nothing had manifested yet.

But it was precisely because of this warning that Roy might raise his guard just a little. As for who they should be guarding against and when the object of their vigilance might appear—that remained to be seen.

They shifted their attention back to Lucario and Guzzlord. After Guzzlord removed the steel-like armor from the surface of its body, its frame appeared somewhat smaller, though not by much. However, its body looked more defined now.

By directly shedding its most powerful defense, Guzzlord no longer posed the same threat to Lucario. The fighting spirit that had been surging within the Aura Pokémon slowly subsided. Lucario used the power of his aura to sense the emotions emanating from Guzzlord, because after the Ultra Beast opened its extremely strong armor, Lucario could more clearly feel the emotions being expressed by this Pokémon.

They were communicating. If the current Guzzlord simply retreated now, Lucario could guarantee that nothing else would happen. They were all Pokémon. Although Lucario enjoyed battle, he wouldn't develop hatred toward any Pokémon without reason.

The blue power of the aura reached out to Guzzlord, conveying Lucario's emotions and attempting to communicate with it. However, such communication didn't seem balanced.

"You hateful humans are all the same! You hurt my family! You hurt my companions!"

"I want to help my companions get revenge, even at the cost of my life! All of you are bad!"

The words and emotions conveyed through the power of the aura all centered around one fact—that they were bad people. This might explain why Guzzlord resented Roy so much, or harbored such hostility toward Lucario.

Perhaps previous humans had done something to hurt Pokémon, and such actions could make some Pokémon lower all their views on humans, even developing hatred toward them.

This was indeed understandable, but why transfer such hatred to them? Setting aside the fact that Lucario wasn't even human, there had only been a minor conflict between them earlier. Was such a conflict worth letting this rare Dark/Dragon-type Pokémon harbor such intense resentment?

Lucario, who didn't want to fight, tried his best to communicate with this Guzzlord. After all, the Ultra Beast had become very fragile now. Even ordinary Pokémon seemed capable of causing effective damage to this Guzzlord—at least before it could replenish its energy. Without any energy supplements, its defensive abilities couldn't be restored.

"I wonder if there's some kind of misunderstanding between us. The conflict we had before was just a battle. We obviously didn't do anything to provoke you. Why would you be this angry? Why are you filled with such rage toward us?"
