Chapter 354 - Bob and Ly Ly’s prison project(ions)

Of course, Ly Ly was no fool. It wasn't like when she was back at school... *Now* she thought, *she understood the rules!*

For starters, she'd been on her best behaviour, hinting to Jael that he might be her saviour…

This was of course, in strict adherence to the Dark Rizzard Mantra #67, which stated that "Reality… was Perception."

Everyone's reality was different. Two people could engage with the same reality, and come to diametrically opposed opinions and conclusions.

Two people could talk to the same person, and come away with completely different thoughts and feelings about them.

This was a paradox of people - and a feature, that she had learned well from her teacher…

To one person she could present one way, and this could change, on a different day, depending on to whom she spoke, be it a woman, or be it a bloke… !!!

Oh, speaking of bloke… that adorable joke.

Jael had arrived.

"…Everything all righ'?"

Ly Ly, upon hearing the sounds of his lilting approach, immediately (and literally) composed herself, putting on a pure and demure countenance - her customised disguise, giving Jael his affirming reward, with liquid eyes.

"I'm all right, T-Thank you." Less was more. She bit her lip, and then withdrew, exuding an aura of enduring innocence, and quiet inner strength.

"-No, it's all right."

She politely declined the proffered pie with an elegant wave of her hand, her graceful movements cursive, like a flowing script, knowing that it would cause Jael to admire her more, for her strength, her bravery, and her feminine beauty...

Jael gave her what he thought was a kind, warming smile, just as Ly Ly turned away, hiding her snort behind a stifled exhale of 'tense emotion'.

One… Two… Three… Ly Ly silently counted to herself.

Meanwhile, gazing at her back turned, Jael's mind obligingly imagined the rest as his eyes softened.

"Ah… take it. Plenty more where that came from, and yer need to eat, to keep yer strength up…"

He left the pie with her dinner tray, which seemed to have twice the amount of the others on the trolley display…

"Well, I'll leave yer to it. Let me know if there's any problems… righ'… away."

He looked meaningfully at the tray, before departing.

The moment the key turned, Ly Ly's angelic countenance shifted back into a dispassionate gaze.

She had half a mind to activate her [Mind Control] now to escape - as Jael was currently almost completely smitten, treating her like his precious pet kitten…

But no. Not yet. Such willing pieces, even for her, particularly in this place, were not easy to get. Slow and steady would win the race! Even if she escaped from the prison now, she would be wanted, and on the run. A fugitive's life wasn't her idea of fun, or indeed, to be considered a victory won…

Jael was a card that she would love to play, but it would have to be in just the right way…

Besides… now she glanced at the tray.

"If there's any problems… let me know… righ' away…"

Could it be…?!

She lifted the tray, to see… a pen and writing paper.

Her eyes lit up.

All according to plan.

Better late than never. Though Jael probably thought that he'd been clever.

But she had spent the last few days, and today, subtly mentioning the word right/[write], even occasionally making all those seemingly innocuous, unconscious motions with her hands and body… and now, after planting enough of her subliminal seeds, at long last, Jael had met her needs…!

She thought back with satisfaction at their just-now, brief exchange. Then and now, he had been in her range...!

"…Everything all righ'?"

"I-I'm all right. T-thank you."

"-No, it's all right."

"Let me know if there's any problems… righ' away…"

They said the pen was mightier than the sword?

Suddenly, Ly Ly wasn't quite so bored.

"…"

Fatteus Slacké… The Dark Rizzardette's eyes flashed irate…

I'll get you back… just you wait!!!!!
