Hey y'all. Was planning to write today and upload a chapter, but I don't know if I'll have time later so instead, I'll just add some unimportant Lore that'll never be relevant. Also, this is just me rambling and I keep jumping around a bit. There is no rhyme or reason in here. Feel free to skip.
So anyway, onto the Universe at large lmao. If you didn't know already, I have two different web novels on here, this one and Crimson Tale of Conquest. Fun fact, they take place within the same physical universe. It's technically Possible for someone to get on a spaceship and fly to the other.
Of course, the likely hood of that ever happening is near zero, they're in completely different galaxies several thousands of lightyears apart. I actually have a third book that takes place in this universe, but I never wrote past the first chapter so it's not relevant.
Anyway, my point is that despite taking place in the same physical locations the power/magic systems are different. Not entirely different as you'll later learn from one of the characters. The reason for the difference actually has to do with the degrading magical abilities of the people from this world and Essence.
I don't feel like going through my notes on essence atm but it's actually a fairly new substance introduced to the world as an experiment from the Universe itself. (Oh yeah, the Universe is technically alive and runs experiments on itself.) It's different from Mana but similar.
What do I mean by that? I don't know. Well, I do but it's been a while, and I don't really want to think right now. Like I said don't feel like reading my notes atm. This is all background Lore that I probably most likely never would've told y'all otherwise.
Any Essence is a physical substance unlike Mana's etherealness. It's also what grants people in this world superpowers. NOT magic. Everyone that has powers has developed a special organ called an Es organ. I think I mentioned it once in like chapter 2 or 3.
Wait, I'm getting of topic. I wanted to talk about things you would never learn. I'm just rambling. My point from earlier was so I can mention what experiment the Universe was running on this planet. Well one of them anyway. The universe has like multiple copies of a single planets spread across itself. Theres like at least 10 different earths. definitely more.
Anyway, I think Laura has mentioned that the Celestials of this world has long since left. Honestly this world was very similar to Lucilla Crimsons world before the current setting. The Universe wanted to see how a world heavily reliant on magic and Gods would react to their Gods abandoning them and their magic degrading.
It did give them Essance, but that just created its own problems. Good news, we left that chaotic era behind. Not the Essance appearing, that's like recent history, at least fifty years ago. But magic and the gods leaving is super fucking old.
However, because of all the Void activity, the Universe is starting to take notice, and it will drop whatever experiment it's doing to take care of that. Well, it'll send one of its billions of physical bodies it made, who might just send a Celestial, who might just send an Archangel.
Hm, I think I can ramble on a little more, but I don't feel like it. Later, I guess.
