Tom felt a pang of disappointment and shame. He had been afraid this was the case, but hearing it confirmed still hurt. "I know," he said quietly. "But I've been trying so hard. I don't understand why I can't seem to make any progress."
The dragoness was quiet for a moment before responding. "It's not just about trying hard, Tom. Your speed is already good.
But your environment definitely isn't, don't you see how strong those real powerhouses are in that dungeon. I think you need to leave this place." She said as Tom nodded to her, understanding what she was saying.
"But there's something else," Tom said, hesitating for a moment. "I feel like there are some things I don't remember clearly from the dungeon. Like someone or something was blocking my memories."
The dragoness paused for a moment before responding. "Tom don't worry about it, it's not uncommon in the dungeon. Just be more cautious next time and try to protect your mind as well as your body."
