Chapter 35 - CHAPTER 34

In this major, I am just invisible—a ghost. I can't touch anything, and no one can see me. It's like watching a movie. I already prepared myself for the possible things I'd learn from doing this, because that's what the book says. Even if I'm not from this lifetime, I still have feelings, and knowing how this ends, I can't help but feel sorry for Emerald.

Tick after tick of the potion, I watch the times of Emerald and Harry. In those moments, I could say Harry probably likes Emerald—but not in the way he thinks. As for Emerald… she is genuinely happy with him, genuinely in love with him.

I can't help but question—why are the people who love genuinely, who give their whole heart and trust, always the ones who end up losing in the end? Why can't others just love them the same way back? Is it that hard? It's always in my mind… If you can't give back the same amount of love that someone gives you, why bother them? Why stay and let that person think you're on the same page?

"Harry, I'm pregnant. We'll be a family. I can forgive you for what you and Savannah did—for our baby, for us." It's Emerald, almost begging for him to stay.

I can see the shock and horror in his eyes. From her diary, I remember that she said he accepted it—happily. But I don't see any happiness in him now.

"You are?" Harry asked.

"Yes! Are you happy?"

"Yeah… we'll be a family. I'll take care of our baby, Emerald, hm?" H said, but I feel something in him.

"Yes… yes… thank you. You'll leave Savannah, right? You'll choose me?" she asked in a desperate voice.

"Yeah… sure."

She hugged him. I could sense something off—something weird. I just can't ignore this feeling.

He didn't stay any longer and left. I followed him. I don't know why, but something in me urged me to follow.

I saw him go into the backyard of Emerald's house.

Savannah was there.

"Harry, you're here! You're back… I knew you'd come back," she said, hugging him tightly.

"Of course—you're the one I love, Savannah." he said even kissed her temple.

The fuck?

"Really? You still love me even if I can't bear our child?" she asked—and that shocked the hell out of me.

If I remember correctly, in Emerald's diary, she mentioned Savannah's delivery. How could that be, if Savannah can't bear a child? What are these two up to?

"Your sister," Harry said, catching my attention again.

"What's with Emerald?" Savannah asked.

"She's pregnant—with my child."

"W-what? But I'm the one you love!"

"Yeah, that's why this is better for us. I have a plan"

"Plan? What plan?"

"I'll take care of Emerald's baby until she gives birth, and then I'll take it and make it ours. So announce your pregnancy now—we'll fake it," Harry said with a smirk.

"E-Emerald? What about Emerald?" really is the most beautiful face is the lying bitch.

"Don't worry so much about her… we only want the baby, then we can live happily."

I was stunned as I listened to their cruel plan. How could they be that heartless? Their faces looked calm—naturally evil. I wished I could do something to warn Emerald, but I can't. All I can do is watch, as if it's some tragic drama.

They parted ways, and I followed Harry. I saw him meet an old lady.

"I want you to take care of someone and help her until birth. When the day comes and she gives birth, your job is done," he said. The lady just nodded didn't say anything, didn't ask for anything.

We came back to where Emerald was staying. She was smiling happily while embroidering something and talking to a guy. If I remember correctly, the guy was Sevirious.

I hadn't seen him closely before, but now I had the chance.

Oh… my… gosh.

I can't believe my eyes. Is this for real?

RJ?

Is that him? Maybe not? Did he follow me here?

They just look alike—but not exactly. RJ's features are soft, but his eyes are like a wolf's, while Sevirious has bright circular brown eyes.

"Harry! You're here!" Emerald's gaze changed when she saw him. She ran toward him, hugged him, and even kissed his cheek.

"Who are you?" Harry asked, his voice deep and serious.

"This is Sevirious, my friend," she introduced.

"So you're Harry… nice to meet you, Mr. Son of the Governor," Sevirious said, offering his hand. But arrogant Harry just looked away.

Pft. Arrogant and rude should be different—but this jerk has both.

"Sevirious, it's nice to hang with you. Maybe next time?" Emerald said, breaking the ice.

Sevirious left, and they went inside—we went inside.

"I don't like you seeing him. I feel like he's bad news," Harry said directly.

"Bad news, my ass. You're the bad news here, you arrogant, rude jerk," I muttered, unable to hold back my anger.

"By the way… this is Lila," Emerald said, introducing the old lady. "She'll be your caretaker for the meantime, so I can secure the safety of our baby."

"Hi, Lila. I'm Emerald. I'm pregnant—this is my first time. May you guide me through this motherhood," Emerald said with her sweetest smile.

The lady just smiled but didn't say anything.

"She's mute," Harry explained. That's why she had been silent.

"Anyway, start packing your things. We're leaving. You're not staying here—it's not safe for the baby."

It took about an hour and a half before we arrived at a small house far from town. He was smart—he wanted to make sure his plan would stay clean. He brought Emerald here so no one would know about her pregnancy.

"Why is this so far from town? What place is this?" Emerald asked.

"No need for you to know, but this is for the better. Trust me, hm? I love you."

I felt sick hearing him say that—using flowery words to trick Emerald.

"I love you so much, Harry. We can live together with our little family," she said.

Poor Emerald. If only she knew that her so-called lover was pure evil, planning something unspeakably cruel against her. That her "man" wasn't as manly as she thought. I can't help but feel guilty that all I can do is watch their evil unfold against this pure-hearted girl. She has every right to become a villain.
