Chapter 160 - Tidal Training

The Sea God's Voice boomed at this time:

"Overwhelming strength and calm supremacy. Tang Yin, God of Ocean's Level Nine Test. The second test completed above comprehension.

[Rewards: closeness to Sea God increased by 10%, the reward will be superimposed later]"

'Just as I thought' Tang Yin nodded inwardly.

The girls also received rewards similar to those of the first test: a 1 level increase in cultivation and a 500-year increase in their soul ring limit.

Katcha—

Erlong, who was already at level 89, suddenly broke through after receiving the reward, finally reaching the realm of Quasi-Titled Douluo.

Sensing the breakthrough, Tang Yin snapped his head toward her—just in time for Erlong to lunge at him and shower his face with kisses.

"Woo—! Tang Yin, I'm on the verge of finally becoming a Titled Douluo!" Erlong shouted excitedly, pressing his head firmly into her warm bosom.

For someone as unruly as Erlong, seeing her cheer like a happy girl was so unexpectedly cute that Tang Yin couldn't stop himself from smiling—though at the moment, he was far too blissfully smothered to think straight.

Ahem—

Bo Saixi instantly appeared before Liu Erlong, who was still happily burying Tang Yin's head between her peaks, and cleared her throat to interrupt the scene.

Liu Erlong shot a challenging look at Bo Saixi, clearly annoyed by the interruption, but she still clutched Tang Yin tightly—leaving Bo Saixi blinking in surprise.

She was utterly unprepared for such audacity; ever since becoming the grand priestess of Sea God Island, this was the first time anyone had dared give her that look.

"You dare?!" Bo Saixi's voice cut through the air like ice, while the clouds above churned, brimming with imminent fury.

The girls exchanged uneasy glances; none of them had ever seen the grand priestess this angry. They all knew Erlong had a temper, but none had expected her to openly challenge the majesty of Bo Saixi.

Sensing the sudden tension, Tang Yin quickly slipped out of Erlong's grasp and gave her a playful tap on the shoulder.

"Erlong, you shouldn't be disrespectful to the Priestess. Your Highness, please forgive her—let me handle this mischievous lover of mine," He said with a teasing grin as he spanked Liu Erlong's perky butt.

Ahh~ Tang Yin~

Liu Erlong's unruly behavior suddenly turned into flustered squeals, while Xiao Bai crossed her legs, lost in ecstasy as she recalled her own previous experience.

Even Bo Saixi was a little stirred, shuddering slightly at the unexpected sight before herself. "Stop—! I forgive her insolence for your sake!" She said, her gaze fixed on Tang Yin.

Tang Yin stared into Bo Saixi's clear blue eyes and felt as if he glimpsed an insatiable desire directed at himself. A small smile curved his lips—he was now certain the priestess had her sights on him.

Noticing Tang Yin's gaze, Bo Saixi quickly composed herself before adding, "Liu Erlong, since you've already reached your limit, the Sea God will grant you a Soul Ring."

A while later—

Erlong successfully absorbed her God-given Soul Ring. As she released her Martial Soul, it had now transformed into a Nine-Headed Inferno Dragon, with Nirvana Flames raging from its mouths.

The Nine Soul Rings hovering around her—Four Purple, Three Black, and Two Red—radiated an overwhelmingly domineering aura, as if even the heavens themselves trembled before her might.

"So cool!" Xiao Wu commented as she stared at Erlong's soul ring with fiery eyes while other girls were also looking forward to the day they became a Titled Douluo level powerhouse.

The Sea God's Voice boomed across the heavens as a golden pillar of light descended.

"God of Ocean's Third Test—Tidal Training!"

The pillar condensed into fifteen cards, each detailing the test. Tang Yin and the girls leaned in to examine their respective cards.

Tang Yin scanned the cards of the others and commented while smirking confidently. "Looks like the third test is the same for everyone… except mine. Double Tidal Training."

"Hmm? But… what does Tidal Training even mean?" Xiao Wu asked, blinking her adorable eyes. Tang Yin couldn't resist ruffling her head vigorously.

"Hey! Stop that!" Xiao Wu protested, pouting cutely as she sank her teeth into his hand.

"Xiao Wu… you're supposed to be a bunny, so why are you always biting my hand like a rat?" He asked, exaggerating a wince as he gently squeezed her puffed-up cheeks.

Ahem—

Bo Saixi couldn't bear any more "dog food" and interrupted them once again. Tang Yin smirked, clearly enjoying the sight of the flustered priestess under his teasing gaze.

"Come with me," Bo Saixi muttered, taking off at a brisk pace. Tang Yin, helpless, had to use his telekinesis to help the others catch up as the priestess sped toward the sea.

Splash—

Passing through the calm, peaceful waters, they soon entered a chaotic region, where countless massive torrents roared and twisted like hurricanes possessed by pure rage.

Tang Yin finally caught up with Bo Saixi, watching as she released her Sea God Martial Soul and summoned fifteen towering pillars from the seabed.

Boom—

Bo Saixi stood unfazed atop a stone pillar that seemed as if it had been carved by the Sea God's own hand. Fifteen pillars, forged from Deep Sea Silver, jutted from the storm-tossed sea, standing resolute against the ocean's fury as though daring the raging waters to swallow everything around them.

The others gazed at the scene in awe, feeling a profound majesty radiating from Bo Saixi as she effortlessly commanded the sea.

"This is the location of your Third Test,"

Bo Saixi announced. "It's called Waves of Fury Extreme. It's also one of the most majestic sights on Sea God Island—and one of the rarest places in the ocean, completely devoid of soul beasts."

"Then… Priestess, what is our third mission?" Shui Yue'er asked, her eyes narrowing as if she already had a guess.

"Tidal Training is standing on the silver pillars and enduring the full force of the Waves of Fury," Bo Saixi explained, noticing the shock on the girls' faces. "It isn't just ordinary impact—it's infused with the Sea God's divinity."

Tang Yin, on the other hand, looked thrilled. 'Looks like there's even more training waiting for me. Perfect! Hahaha!' he thought excitedly.

"Those with Red Top-Tier Level Seven Tests must endure it for ten hours, while Tang Yin has to last twenty," Bo Saixi added, her gaze drifting toward the smug-looking Tang Yin.

"What? Ten hours?!" Xiao Wu and Rongrong exclaimed, glancing toward Tang Yin with pity—but he avoided their gaze. 'Don't think I'm heartless—it's for your own good,' he thought.

"So what are we even waiting for? Let's get started right away!" Tang Yin shouted. He yanked off his robe, stored it in his storage ring, and shot toward the Silver Pillars, every fiber of his body buzzing with anticipation.

Both Xiao Wu and Rongrong rolled their eyes, muttering curses under their breath at Tang Yin for being such a training maniac—but they still followed him along with the others.

Meanwhile, Bo Saixi's eyes glinted as they swept over his sculpted form. With a swift motion, she leveled her staff at the pillar where Tang Yin now stood.

Scatter—

The heavy chains clinked sharply as they shot forward, wrapping snugly around his bare body like a perfectly fitted harness, each link guided with flawless precision by Bo Saixi.

The test began.

Boom—

A massive wave surged toward Tang Yin and the others, swallowing them in a crushing impact.

Rongrong, Lingling, and Yuehua struggled to stay afloat, their bodies trembling under the force, while the others fared slightly better.

The true challenge of this Tidal Training lay in perseverance and endurance, testing both body and spirit. It was meant to harden their resolve just as much as their strength.

The relentless wave continued for more than ten minutes before it finally subsided.

"Huff… huff…" the girls gasped, breathless, water streaming from their hair and clothes, terror etched across their faces.

Ten more hours of this…? The thought alone filled them with dread.

Splash—

Their previous dread turned into reality as a new tide slammed toward them almost immediately, allowing no time to recover.

But Tang Yin? He fared far better—no, it wasn't just that he survived; he thrived in the chaos.

Grinning from ear to ear, a roguish charm in his expression, he bore the brunt of each wave. Yet instead of being battered by the impact, he felt his body forged and strengthened with every blow.

"Give me enough time, and I'll have the body comparable to a god—even as a mortal," Tang Yin thought, his heart racing as he felt his body growing stronger with every passing second.

"Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda?! What's going on here? Why can't I release my Martial Soul?" Ning Rongrong panicked, her voice trembling with shock.

"What? Let me try." Lingling muttered as she attempted to summon her Martial Soul, but her Holy Apple failed to appear.

"Heartstring Zither… mine doesn't work either," Tang Yuehua sighed, turning to Tang Yin. "Is there some kind of restriction on Support-type Martial Souls for this third test?"

Tang Yin frowned. He released his Blue Silver Emperor and attempted to use his sixth soul skill. "Sixth Soul Skill—Purifying Sap Flow!"

"No, it's not just your Support-type Wuhun. Even my Support skills aren't working," he muttered. "It seems that during the third test, Support skills are ineffective."

Meanwhile, Liu Erlong wailed, swallowing another stream of water that slammed straight into her face. "Hey! Priestess, please stop! I'm really sorry for earlier! Gululu..."

Anyone could tell Bo Saixi was deliberately targeting her, punishing her for their previous incident. The Fiery Dragon flailed helplessly before the priestess, like a drowning kitten.

Tang Yin could only shake his head wryly, secretly stifling a laugh at the downright comical sight.

Seven hours later—

Rongrong, Lingling, and Tang Yuehua had all fainted, their consciousness slipping away, yet their will remained unbroken, refusing to give up, as if they had already grasped the essence of the Tidal Training.

Bo Saixi, impressed by their determination, gently released their chains and guided them to safety, commanding the ocean with precise movements of her staff.

"Not bad," she said with an appreciative smile. "It seems they've already grasped the true purpose of this test. After all, this trial is meant to strengthen your Will just as much as your strength."

In the Eighth Hour—

Xiao Mei, Bai Chenxian, and Meng Yiran were the next to lose consciousness, the chains preventing them from being swept away.

Bing'er, Yue'er, and Huo Wu soon followed, succumbing to exhaustion as Bo Saixi came to their rescue.

The rest were also at the end of their ropes, struggling to remain upright against the relentless force of nature.

Whoosh—

Wave after wave crashed down without giving them a moment to breathe, yet they pressed on, determined to complete their test despite the risk of injury and dreading exhaustion.

Slowly, the rest—Erlong, Zhuyun, and Dugu Yan—were escorted by Bo Saixi toward the group, leaving only Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing, teetering on the edge of consciousness.

"I can't fall too far behind him… huff… I must keep going." Zhu Zhuqing's eyes locked onto Tang Yin as he seemed to dare nature itself to do its worst, and her resolve only hardened in response.

Beside her, Xiao Wu clenched her teeth, driven by three long, haunting years of separation and the fear of ever losing Tang Yin again.

"No more… I don't want to be apart from him anymore! I'll beat anyone who stands in my way from now on!" she cried, her crisp voice cracking through the roar of the waves and startling Zhuqing.

Finally, Xiao Wu followed, and Zhuqing was the last of the girls to succumb, collapsing from sheer exhaustion.

Tang Yin, however, existed on a league of his own. Thanks to the Ice & Fire Alchemy Body alongside the Indestructible Body of Vajra, his already formidable Spirit Body was further strengthened, bolstered by the absorption of four scarlet soul rings—each pushed beyond its limit.

'I'm confident I can handle at least a 500,000-year soul beast as my ninth ring… even without a sacrifice,' he mused, watching Xiao Wu and Zhuqing being guided away by Bo Saixi.

He caught the High Priestess stealing a glance at him and offered her an irresistibly charming smile and a grateful nod—startling her—

—right before the next tidal wave slammed into him and plunged him underwater all over again. The training continues...

In the Twenty-first Hour—

Tang Yin finally halted.

He had already exceeded the required training, and pushing any further would no longer bring benefit—only damage. His body needed time to recover naturally, and even his formidable mind demanded a moment of rest.

As Tang Yin arrived before the girls who were still awake, Bo Saixi began her instructions.

"Remember, although you may end your training early at the beginning of this test, by the end of the year your total time must meet the required average."

"Priestess, thank you very much for your help and for accompanying us," Tang Yin said, genuinely grateful, his smile as effortlessly charming as always.

Bo Saixi paused, her gaze lingering on him a moment longer than necessary before she gave a small nod and continued instructing,

"The Third Test must be completed step by step. Skip even a single day, and you will fail."

Tang Yin wasn't sure whether the last part was meant as general advice—or directed toward him—as he gave her a meaningful glance.

Bo Saixi fidgeted ever so slightly under his scrutinizing look before taking to the sky.

The first day ended with the girls surpassing expectations—and Tang Yin doing what he did best: breaking every norm without even trying.
