The Landis harbor was alive with the salty scent of the sea and the shouts of sailors preparing to set sail as Cecilia arrived. Her steps felt light as she descended from the carriage, accompanied by Robert and Fiona. In the distance, Cedric was already waiting at the dock, his black-and-gold cloak fluttering in the sea breeze as he smiled warmly at her.
"How did it go?" he asked as she approached. "Was everything… alright?"
Cecilia nodded, her smile calm and serene as she answered that question.
"More than alright. I… I'm glad I spoke with Damian. He looked a bit worse when I told him I'd be returning soon. But he saw me off with a smile."
Cedric let out a soft breath and reached for her hand, holding it firmly as if to give her courage and reassurance.
"I'm glad to hear that."
