Chapter 12 - The Adorable Demon King Enters MIT and the Soccer Supreme Kneels

Ra-One stood in front of the massive gates of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in his most lethal form yet.

Not the 6'2" divine Adonis with glowing golden eyes and the body that could make goddesses question their life choices.

No.

He was currently a soft-cheeked, big-eyed, 13-year-old boy with dimples so deep they could hide state secrets. His black hair was slightly messy in that "I just woke up looking this cute" way. He wore a simple navy hoodie and jeans that somehow still made him look like a walking Instagram filter.

The effect on the surrounding 18-to-20-year-old students was catastrophic.

Teenage girls stopped mid-conversation. Phones rose like they were documenting a rare species of baby panda that had somehow learned to walk upright and carry a backpack. One girl whispered, "He's so tiny… I want to put him in my pocket."Another immediately replied, "Pocket? Girl, I want to adopt him and feed him cookies forever."

Ra-One internally sighed the sigh of a Demon King forced to endure the consequences of his own cuteness.

Behind him, the emotional nuclear warhead known as "Parents + One Ex-Black Widow"was going off.

Alicia was already crying. Not elegant single tears. Full monsoon-season crying. "My baby is going to college… at thirteen… look how small he is… Rudra, hold me before I kidnap him back home!"

Rudra was no better. The once-proud JoJo-looking CEO of a tech empire was currently wiping his eyes with the sleeve of a very expensive shirt. "Beta… if anyone bullies you… just call Papa. Papa will buy the entire university and turn it into your personal Lego set."

Maria, ever the professional, was taking photos like a war correspondent documenting history. She snapped pictures of Ra-One with the gushing teenage girls, of Alicia's tear-streaked face, of Rudra trying (and failing) to look manly. Then she immediately sent the entire album to "Queen Bee" Peggy Carter with the caption:

"The chick has officially left the nest. Send backup. Or more tissues."

Ra-One turned around, gave his parents the softest, most heart-melting smile he could manufacture, and said, "I'll call every weekend. And I'll come home for every holiday. Don't cry, Mom. You're going to make the security cameras fog up."

He then turned to the group of girls still photographing him and, with the shamelessness of a man who once tried to ransom Captain Marvel, started posing.

Peace signs. Finger guns. One dramatic "thinking scholar"pose with a finger on his chin. One girl nearly dropped her phone from sheer overload of cuteness.

Satisfied that he had sufficiently broken several hearts, Ra-One finally waved goodbye and walked through the gates of MIT.

As he strolled toward the administrative building, his mind drifted back to the past two months.

Thanks to his shapeshifting abilities finally stabilizing, he no longer needed the complicated "fake adult identity" plan he had originally prepared. He could just… be himself. A legitimate 13-year-old child prodigy. Build a tech empire under his real name. Become the youngest multi-billionaire in history while still being able to eat ice cream without people questioning his life choices.

The SAT results had been particularly satisfying.

Tony Stark had scored 1500.

Ra-One scored 1510.

The engineering world had a quiet collective aneurysm. MIT had offered him a dual degree. Ra-One, being the chaos goblin he was, smiled sweetly and requested four simultaneous undergraduate degrees: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Automobile Engineering.

The professors' faces when he said that would forever live in his memory bank as pure comedy gold.

They decided to "teach the arrogant child a lesson" and created the most nightmarish entrance exam in MIT history. Three days. No sleep. Questions designed by people who clearly hated joy.

Ra-One finished it in eleven hours, walked out humming a Bollywood song, and left the answer sheets so perfect that two professors quietly quit academia out of existential crisis.(he could complete exam in one hour but he maintained False Front)

The news spread.

Somewhere in California, Tony Stark saw the headline "13-Year-Old Indian Prodigy Accepted into Four MIT Engineering Programs – The Next Tony Stark?" and nearly choked on his coffee. He investigated. Found a normal (if extremely rich) Silicon Valley-adjacent family. Saw a cute kid with no shady connections. Laughed. Lost interest.

"Whatever," Tony muttered. "Kid'll burn out by sophomore year."

He had no idea.

SHIELD and HYDRA, however, did not laugh.

One wanted to recruit the prodigy.

The other wanted to put him in a very expensive cage.

Both decided to watch him closely.

MIT, overwhelmed by the media attention and the fact that their newest student still needed a guardian's signature to buy energy drinks, gave Ra-One his own small building. Private library. Private lab access. Private everything. Perks of being a walking PR disaster and academic miracle rolled into one.

After the campus tour, Ra-One finally reached his building, climbed the stairs to his room, kicked the door shut, and face-planted onto the brand-new bed with the grace of a man who had been performing "adorable child" for six straight hours.

The moment his eyes closed—

A bright yellow magic circle flared to life in the middle of the room.

Ra-One's Danger Sense screamed.

He backflipped off the bed in one fluid motion, landing in a combat stance, eyes already glowing faint gold. One hand was halfway toward transforming into full Demon King form when the figure stepped through the circle.

A tall, bald woman in traditional robes. Calm. Powerful. Looking like she could end civilizations with a raised eyebrow.

Ra-One's brain short-circuited for half a second.

Ancient One.

Before he could fully transform, the most powerful sorcerer on Earth dropped to one knee, head bowed, and spoke with absolute respect:

"Greetings, Red Demon King."

The room went completely silent.

Thirty full seconds of pure, frozen silence.

Ra-One's Quantum Brain was currently running approximately 4,782 possible scenarios at once. Assassination attempt? Timeline paradox? Cosmic prank by Chaos Emoji? Did he accidentally become her boss in some future he hadn't lived yet?

Finally, he straightened his tiny 13-year-old posture, clasped his hands behind his back like a proper monarch forced into a child's body, and spoke with the calm authority of someone who once one-inch-punched a Kree soldier to death.

"Greetings, Soccer Supreme."

(He refused to call her Ancient One. In his head she would forever be Soccer Supreme. The bald soccer player of the mystic arts.)

"There is no need to kneel before this king. If word gets out that the most powerful sorcerer on Earth is kneeling to a 13-year-old child, every unwanted pair of eyes on the planet will start looking in this direction. Rise."

The Ancient One stood smoothly, golden eyes meeting his.

"Thank you for the courtesy, Demon King. As I suspected… you were already aware of my existence even though we had never met."

Ra-One gave a small nod, gesturing for her to continue.

"I only discovered your true existence after examining the Time Stone. Thirteen years ago, the moment you were born, the timeline began to shift. The future I once knew no longer exists. The crisis that was meant to devastate Earth and the universe has started changing because of your interventions. Humanity's technology has advanced faster. The magical world has begun to thrive under the shadow of a certain… Red Demon."

She looked at him with something close to reverence.

"Your existence is unique across the multiverse. I have seen your benevolence, your brilliance, and your courage. You are the first and last line of defense of this universe across time. But in several possible futures, you suffered setbacks… because your magical powers manifested too slowly. Your training was delayed. So I decided to come early. To help you train your magic and fully manifest it… before those battles arrive."

Ra-One processed every word carefully.

Internally, he contacted Gabee.

"Gabee. How the hell did she find me? Lady Maya's blessing was supposed to hide me from timeline observation."

Gabee's voice replied instantly, sounding equally confused.

"I don't know, Master. The blessing is still active. The Time Stone shouldn't be able to locate you. You should ask her directly."

Ra-One's golden eyes narrowed slightly.

"Soccer Supreme. How exactly did you deduce my true identity? The Time Stone does not have the power to find me… not even in my current stage of magical manifestation."

The Ancient One actually looked almost embarrassed for a moment.

"Reporting to the King… you are correct. The Time Stone could not find you. I used human deduction… and a considerable amount of luck."

She continued calmly.

"Your Demon King identity has been quietly advancing magical society from the shadows. At the same time, your Ra-One identity has been pushing human technology to new heights. I began noticing patterns. Whenever a certain red-masked vigilante appeared and solved a crisis… the civilian prodigy named Ra-One was always somewhere nearby. After enough coincidences, I concluded that the Red Demon King and the child genius were the same person. I observed you from a distance… and my guess was correct."

Ra-One stared at her for a long moment.

Then he slowly rubbed his temples with tiny 13-year-old hands.

"So… the most powerful sorcerer on Earth found the hidden Demon King… not through ancient artifacts or multiversal scanning… but through basic pattern recognition and stalker-level observation."

The Ancient One remained silent.

Ra-One let out a long, tired, yet somehow still adorable sigh.

"Fantastic. My greatest weakness isn't cosmic gods or Thanos. It's apparently just… being too competent in two identities at the same time."

He looked up at her, golden eyes gleaming with chaotic amusement.

"Very well, Soccer Supreme. You may train this king in magic. However, avoid kneeling in the magical society. I don't want the Ancient One to be seen bowing to an ice cream-eating youngster. Do we understand each other?

For the first time, the Ancient One's lips twitched into something that almost resembled a smile.

"Understood… Red Demon King."

Outside the window, the Massachusetts night was quiet.

Inside the room, the most dangerous child on Earth had just gained the personal magic tutor of the Sorcerer Supreme.

And somewhere in the quantum realm of pure chaos, the Chaos Emoji was almost certainly laughing his circular black head off.
