Seeing Bai Hanyun sitting in a daze while the servants lit up the candles, Feng Xiyan's gaze softened.
"Yun'er," he called gently as he stepped into the dining room.
Hearing his voice, Bai Hanyun looked up. When she saw Feng Xiyan's smiling face, she stood and walked toward him.
"Feng Xiyan, you are back," she said, taking his hand and leading him to the dining table.
Sitting beside her, Feng Xiyan glanced at the food and smiled. "Tonight's dishes are all my favorites."
Bai Hanyun nodded and explained, "I noticed you didn't eat much at lunch. I thought the food might not suit your taste, so I asked the chefs to prepare what you like. You should eat more."
Warmth spread through Feng Xiyan's chest when he heard her words filled with concern. His hands clenched beneath the table as he softly whispered, "Yun'er, thank you."
Smiling at him, Bai Hanyun picked up a dish for Feng Xiyan and urged, "Quickly eat before the food turns cold."
