Old General Tao and his team followed the young general and walked into the village in silence.
Along the way, Old General Tao scanned and observed the surroundings. Unfortunately, he couldn't find any traces of life—only desolation and a gloomy atmosphere shrouding the entire village.
After rushing for more than twenty minutes, one of the ministers could no longer hold on and fell heavily on the ground.
Thud!
"Lord Ji!" exclaimed the minister running beside him.
Hearing the exclamation, the young general paused in his tracks. Turning around, he saw the oldest minister, Lord Ji, panting heavily as he lay on the dirty ground.
Seeing this, the young general hurried over. Squatting beside Lord Ji, he checked his head, then his body.
After making sure that he hadn't injured himself further from the fall, the young general helped Lord Ji up from the ground.
"Lord Ji, are you alright?" he asked worriedly.
