In Aaron's Room
Aaron:
"Yes?" 🙂
Elda stepped into the room, her expression as serious as ever.
Elda:
"We're going to test Noel's second gender."
Aaron blinked.
Aaron:
"Huh? Isn't she—" 🙂
Elda:
"As long as a person is alive and has a soul, the test will work. Even if their secondary gender is dormant or has disappeared."
Aaron slowly nodded.
Aaron:
"O-okay." 🙂
Elda gave him one last look before leaving the room.
CLICK.
The moment the door closed, Aaron's expression changed.
He clenched his fist dramatically.
Aaron:
"I'm damn sure she's an Alpha!" 😤
His mind immediately replayed the incident at the abandoned palace.
He remembered struggling to open the enormous iron gate.
He remembered using all his strength.
And then—
Noel had casually walked over and opened it with ONE HAND.
Aaron's eyes widened.
Aaron:
"Wait…"
He slowly stood up.
Aaron:
"She opened a gate that even MY magic couldn't open!"
He began pacing around the room.
Aaron:
"She's fearless, ridiculously strong, and doesn't even hesitate to argue with royalty!"
He stopped.
A horrifying possibility struck him.
Aaron:
"Yeah…"
His eyes widened to their absolute limits.
Aaron:
"A ROYAL ALPHA!" 😱😱
He grabbed his head.
Aaron:
"WHAT KIND OF MONSTER HAVE WE BROUGHT INTO THIS KINGDOM?!"
Unfortunately, Aaron had completely forgotten one important detail.
Noel hadn't even completed her second-gender test yet.
But that tiny fact wasn't going to stop his imagination.

Noel sat on the examination bed, her legs dangling over the edge.
Her face was pale.
Her hands gripped the sides of the bed.
And her eyes were fixed on the medical instruments the doctor had prepared.

"D-Does it hurt?" 😱
Ashley stood beside her with her arms crossed.
Ashley:
"No." 😑
Noel:
"Will I faint?" 😱
Ashley:
"No." 😑
Noel:
"I WILL faint—!" 😱
Ashley:
"Yeah, idiot, shut up." 😐
Ashley placed one hand on Noel's shoulder and pushed her gently back onto the examination bed.
Ashley:
"Nothing will happen. Sit quietly."
Noel:
"You're saying that because YOU aren't the one sitting here!" 😭
Ashley:
"Would you prefer I take your place?"
Noel:
"YES!"
Ashley:
"Too bad." 😎
Noel stared at her in betrayal.
This woman is supposed to be my friend.
Actually, no.
We met yesterday.
WHY AM I EXPECTING FRIENDSHIP?! 😭
The doctor adjusted his instruments and examined the testing materials.
Doctor:
"Alright, I'm starting." 🧐
Noel immediately stiffened.
Noel:
"Doctor…" 😨
Doctor:
"Yes?" 🧐
He continued preparing the test without looking up.
Noel swallowed nervously.
Noel:
"Why does the sun always stay in one place, but the moon keeps moving?" 😱
The doctor's hand stopped.
Slowly, he turned his head.
Doctor:
"Huh?" 😶
Noel:
"If you throw a red stone into the blue sea, will it become red or blue?" 😱
The doctor stared at her.
Ashley closed her eyes.
Ashley (thought):
I knew this girl was going to embarrass me someday.
Noel continued, apparently unable to stop herself.
Noel:
"Why does 'teapot' start with T, end with T, and is filled with T?" 😨
The room fell silent.
The doctor slowly put down his instruments.
He looked at Noel.
Then at Ashley.
Then back at Noel.
Doctor:
"…Can I ask you something?" 🧐
Noel nodded eagerly.
Noel:
"Yes, Doctor!" 😤
The doctor leaned forward slightly.
Doctor:
"Are you mentally unstable?" 😐
Noel:
"HEHE… sorry." 😅
Ashley immediately turned away, covering her mouth.
Her shoulders were shaking.
Noel:
"I CAN SEE YOU LAUGHING!"
Ashley:
"I'm not laughing." 😑
Noel:
"YOUR SHOULDERS ARE MOVING!"
Ashley:
"I'm breathing."
Noel:
"THAT'S WHAT THE KING SAID!"
Ashley froze.
Then slowly turned toward her.
Ashley:
"…What did you just say?" 😐
Noel:
"Nothing!" 😁
The doctor pinched the bridge of his nose.
I should have retired ten years ago.

A Few Minutes Later…
Noel:
"If I—" 😱
Doctor:
"It's over." 😐
Noel stopped mid-sentence.
Noel:
"Huh?" 😶
She looked at the doctor.
Then at the instruments.
Then at her own hands.
Noel:
"Wait… WHAT?!"
Doctor:
"The test is complete."
Noel:
"THAT'S IT?!"
Doctor:
"Yes."
Noel:
"But I didn't feel anything!"
Doctor:
"That is generally how examinations work when everything proceeds normally." 😑
Ashley snorted.
Noel immediately glared at her.
Noel:
"Don't laugh at me!"
Ashley:
"I'm not laughing." 😎
Noel:
"YOU'RE SMILING!"
Ashley:
"Am I not allowed to smile?"
Noel:
"NOT LIKE THAT!"
The doctor cleared his throat loudly.
Both women immediately fell silent.
Doctor:
"Your soul is present, but your secondary gender is not currently expressing itself. We'll need to wait for the results to manifest."
Noel blinked.
Noel:
"So… what happens now?"
Doctor:
"Within a week, your secondary gender will reveal itself."
He gathered his instruments.
Doctor:
"Until then, avoid stressing yourself unnecessarily. If you notice any unusual symptoms, report them immediately."
He paused and looked directly at Noel.
Doctor:
"And please… stop asking philosophical questions during medical examinations."
Noel:
"…Okay." 😅
The doctor picked up his bag and walked toward the door.
Doctor:
"Goodbye." 😤
SLAM!
The door shut behind him.
Silence.
Noel sat motionless on the examination bed.
Ashley stared at the closed door.
Then at Noel.
Noel:
"…That's it?" 😶
Ashley:
"That's it." 😑
Noel slowly climbed down from the bed.
Noel:
"I nearly wrote my will for NOTHING?!"
Ashley:
"You were there for five minutes."
Noel:
"FIVE MINUTES OF EMOTIONAL SUFFERING!"
Ashley shook her head and started walking toward the exit.
Ashley:
"Come on. We need to report to the Queen."
Noel hurried after her.
Noel:
"Wait! What if I'm an Alpha?"
Ashley glanced back.
Ashley:
"Then you'll be an Alpha."
Noel:
"What if I'm a Beta?"
Ashley:
"Then you'll be a Beta."
Noel:
"What if I'm an Omega?"
Ashley stopped walking.
Slowly, she turned around.
A mischievous smile appeared on her face.
Ashley:
"Then things are going to get VERY interesting." 😏
Noel stared at her.
Noel:
"…Why do I feel like I'm the only person in this kingdom who's not allowed to live peacefully?" 😶
Ashley laughed and continued walking.
Ashley:
"Welcome to Oseose, girl."
Noel looked up at the ceiling.
