In a Corner of the Training Ground
Aaron dragged Noel away from everyone.
Aaron: "What the hell, Noel?"
"Don't you know how to read the room?" š¤
"How can you say something like that?"
Noel: "W-What did I do now?" š
Aaron took a deep breath to calm himself.
Aaron: "Listen."
"This is a kingdom, not your village."
"When you speak to me, show some respect."
"I'm the King here."
"And before you speak to other people... think first."
"Didn't your parents teach you that?"
Noel froze.
It was the first time Aaron had ever shouted at her.
Her heart sank. š
Noel: "I'm... sorry." š„
"I won't do it again."
"I'll be more careful next time sir ."
She lowered her head.
Aaron looked at her sad face.
His anger disappeared instantly. šš
Aaron: "...Fine."
"Go do your training." š
Noel: "Okay... Your Majesty." š
She gave a small smile and quietly walked away.
Aaron watched her leave.
Aaron (thinking): ...Why do I feel so bad now? š
Commander's Side
Noel stood silently with a forced smile. š
The commander noticed her mood immediately.
(Did Aaron scold her? Poor girl... Let's cheer her up.)
The commander smiled warmly.
Commander: "Alright!"
"First, we'll test your abilities."
"Since you don't have a second gender, my assistant will help you."
"Okay?" š
He purposely spoke in a cheerful voice.
Assistant (thinking): I understand, sir.
Assistant: "Come with me."
"We'll head downstairs." š
Noel: "Okay." š
Everyone watching could feel the awkward atmosphere.
For some reason...
They all felt bad for Noel. š
