Chapter 116 - Chapter 116: Father Of Oasis? God Of Humanity!

"Fk!"

This was the collective roar of Admiral Scudder in the White House and top officials from around the globe. At this moment, they finally understood the source of Joseph and the Second World Company's unshakable confidence—why they didn't fear an official ban on the sale of Oasis.

Because the game... was real.

It could genuinely grant people superhuman abilities!

Maybe it wasn't quite the same as Mutant evolution, but it was a leap into the extraordinary all the same.

The world may be rife with hostility toward Mutants, but faced with a chance to gain superpowers, who could resist such temptation?

Even if only a hundred out of a million players managed to synchronize their in-game abilities to the real world—despite such outrageous odds—so what?

Who wouldn't think, "Why not me?"

In such a scenario, any nation that banned Oasis would instantly become a public enemy of humanity.

And not just for the ordinary citizens. Even members of governments, military, and intelligence agencies would rebel. Because blocking evolution was akin to destroying someone's future!

Who would dare to ban Oasis now?

Do so, and risk nationwide riots in minutes.

"Fk!"

This was the scream from Nick Fury and the Avengers aboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. As the one hundred awakened players took to the stage, his eyes locked onto someone familiar.

Maria Hill.

She was the one who had unleashed the wind blade to stop Doctor Octopus.

She was his commander, his most trusted agent.

And now Nick Fury understood why her stance toward Mutants had softened lately—why she had even questioned his distrust of them... publicly.

She had crossed over.

His most loyal lieutenant had been pulled into Joseph's camp.

Nick Fury's heart clenched.

"Fk!"

This was the outcry of Aldrich Killian from the auditorium, echoed by Green Goblin, Doctor Doom, and every underground criminal, warlord, and global schemer tuning into the feed.

The world was just recovering from alien invasions. Chaos was still unfolding. They thought it was their time to rise, to seize power amidst the uncertainty.

But if every civilian now had the potential to awaken as a superhuman?

How could they possibly thrive in this new era?

How the hell could they even survive?

"Fk!"

"Fk!!"

"Fk!!!"

Curses erupted around the world like a tsunami.

In stark contrast, the vast masses of ordinary people—who greatly outnumbered the elite—rejoiced.

If Joseph had merely declared a theory of Mutant evolution, few would have cared. If he had just launched a game, even fewer would have paid attention.

But when he layered those ideas—connected them directly to themselves—it became personal.

If anyone could awaken X genes through Oasis, who would care about Mutants anymore?

Who would care about what the government said?

This wasn't about politics or science anymore.

It was the evolution of humanity.

Just as Joseph said: Earth has entered a new, extraordinary era.

And Oasis was its beginning.

---

Onstage, Joseph stood tall.

"This is Wanda Maximoff, born in an ordinary Sokovian family."

"This is Porter James—the one who cast 'Shadowless'—and the son of Senator James."

"This is James, currently a senior agent with the FBI."

"This is Maria Hill, Level 9 officer of S.H.I.E.L.D..."

"And this here is..."

One by one, Joseph introduced each of the one hundred awakened players.

Each time a name was revealed, certain powerful individuals in the audience grew more visibly unsettled.

Among these players were ordinary citizens—but also government officials, military officers, and people deeply connected to global institutions.

Would these individuals still remain loyal to the systems they once served?

Had they defected to Joseph's cause?

If so, should they be neutralized? Placed under surveillance? Removed?

But what would be the point?

Once Oasis was released globally, stopping it would be impossible. It was already too late.

Every major city on Earth had at least one Second World distribution hub.

Even if governments attempted to restrict it, they couldn't prevent people from gaining access to the login devices.

And once extraordinary individuals began popping up across all nations—including within government offices—what could be done?

Keep firing them? Locking them up?

That would only hasten the collapse of trust and loyalty.

Those in power, led by Admiral Scudder, were faced with a terrifying realization:

They were powerless.

Despite all their authority, their advanced plans, and their arsenal of counter-Mutant protocols...

They were being completely outmaneuvered.

Unless all 100 were secretly Mutants...

Unless Oasis was a hoax with no evolutionary function...

Or unless the login equipment was so expensive the average person could never afford it...

There was no stopping this revolution.

---

Joseph's voice rang out again:

"Regarding the super abilities obtained through Oasis and their synchronization with reality, players will be able to explore and develop them gradually during their ongoing experience..."

The unexpected attack by Green Goblin and his allies had prompted the magic apprentices to reveal their powers early, but the presentation continued unhindered.

Now it was time for the final announcement.

Joseph revealed the prices for the three login devices:

Game Pod: $100,000

Game Helmet: $1,000

Wristband: $10

The moment he announced the price of the wristband, the entire hall erupted in deafening cheers. Viewers watching live broke into a collective frenzy.

For just ten dollars, you could buy a ticket to human evolution.

Was there any deal more generous?

It didn't end there.

Joseph even introduced an interest-free loan plan for those living in extreme poverty.

Meet the basic requirements? You could get a wristband for just one dollar.

It might as well have been a free gift.

"Joseph, Hail!"

"Mutants, Hail!!"

"Oasis, Hail!!!"

Someone in the crowd shouted. In an instant, countless others echoed the chant, their joy boiling over. Streets filled with people abandoning their homes to race to nearby Green Island shops.

Second World had already established distribution centers in every major city around the globe.

Supply? Fully stocked.

Logistics? Ready.

The X-Men were stationed by the teleportation arrays, prepared to deliver inventory at a moment's notice.

In the days to follow, more than six billion people would participate in the largest technological and biological leap in human history.

Oasis had officially begun its global conquest.

---

Within the cheering masses, Wonder Woman—Diana Prince—watched with glimmering eyes.

She wasn't yet sure whether Oasis could truly rewrite genetic codes and awaken latent powers.

But if it could...

Then the young Mutant standing on stage—Joseph—was no longer just a pioneer.

He would become the most luminous star in modern history.

Diana pondered how she should address him the next time they met.

"Father of Oasis?"

The words entered her thoughts. But she shook her head immediately.

No.

If Oasis truly created a new extraordinary age...

Then he would become something far more profound:

God of Humanity.

A god unlike any of the old ones behind her.

A god who rose not from heaven, but from among mortals.

A god of the people.

---

"Life always finds its own way," Diana thought.

"Maybe it's precisely because of the creeping darkness that Earth has found its new light."

She raised her eyes.

"Bruce... do you see this?"

"Even without Superman... we are not without hope."
