"Hmmm…"
Rafine carried a stack of documents, humming happily.
Elina noticed and asked teasingly, "What's gotten into you? You look so happy. Don't tell me Brother Nolan asked you out on a date?"
Rafine froze for a moment but quickly regained her composure and cleared her throat.
"Ahem! How could that be? You're overthinking it."
She shook her head, trying to deny it. Unfortunately, Rafine didn't know that every time she lied, her neck would turn bright red.
Elina simply giggled and said nothing. Among all the women around her brother, she was especially fond of Rafine—perhaps even more than Evalyn.
It wasn't that she disliked Evalyn, but in her opinion, her brother wasn't suited for a strong-willed and disciplined woman like her.
On the other hand, Rafine was laid-back yet firm. With her by her brother's side in the future, Elina hoped her brother would become a better person.
