The woman clicked her tongue. Without a moment's hesitation, she bit down on it.
Instantly, her eyes widened. Her pupils turned a pale purple before her body went limp and she lost consciousness.
Malverna remained calm. She raised her left hand slightly, and black flames engulfed the woman's body.
"She committed suicide. What a strong resolve," she sneered.
Rafine said nothing, but relief was evident on her face. She turned toward Malverna and bowed her head.
"Thank you for helping me," she said respectfully.
Malverna waved her hand dismissively.
"It's my duty. After all, that man asked me to protect you."
"That man?" Rafine was startled by her words.
Malverna flinched before quickly turning away.
"Forget it. Just be careful from now on. Lately, I've noticed some suspicious activity around this mansion. It looks like someone is targeting you and Elina Lorian."
After saying that, she disappeared.
Rafine frowned.
