Chapter 79 - Chapter 77: Interrupted By Unexpected Visitors

The kaiju battle dragged on far longer than anyone expected.

What was once a barren wasteland had been reduced to something unrecognizable.

The ground was now molten stone and glassed earth, vast canyons crisscrossed the terrain, and the artificial sky flickered under the strain of Georg's Dimension Create.

Entire mountain ranges had been erased, replaced by craters that still glowed with residual crimson fire and violet radiation.

Ddraig and Godzilla stood facing one another.

Both were complete wrecks.

Ddraig's once-majestic crimson scales were cracked, scorched, and missing in places, golden spikes dulled and fractured, his wings trembled with fatigue, each breath coming out heavy and ragged.

Yet his eyes still burned with stubborn defiance as his [BOOST!] continued to thrum with accumulated power.

Godzilla wasn't in much better shape.

Chunks of its flesh were missing, one arm hung at an awkward angle, and its dorsal plates flickered erratically as its regeneration struggled to keep up.

Even so, its wounds kept closing, slower now, but still adapting, still reinforcing itself against Ddraig's attacks.

Neither monster would back down.

Ddraig slammed forward again, claws glowing faintly as another [BOOST!] rippled through his body.

Godzilla answered with a brutal headbutt, both titans staggering back from the impact.

On top of Ddraig's head, Arthur exhaled sharply.

"We're both running on fumes."

Ddraig growled in agreement.

"Agreed. I can feel that my time is almost up."

Across the battlefield, Leonardo's vision blurred inside Godzilla's mind.

His chest felt tight, his limbs heavy, every breath a struggle.

(I'm running out of time... But I'm not giving up yet... I won't lose.)

From the sidelines, Heracles was still cheering, though his voice had grown hoarse.

"COME ON, BOYS! IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO?! THERE IS STILL TIME LEFT!"

Georg, meanwhile, had one hand raised, sweat beading down his temple as he maintained the pocket dimension.

"This space is nearing collapse. Another full-power exchange might destabilize everything."

Lavinia and Valerie stood close together, watching the battered titans.

Valerie hugged her arms.

"Their respective monsters are both pushed way past their limits."

Lavinia nodded slowly.

"The boys won't let it end without someone being knocked out."

They fell into quiet conversation, voices low, speculating who would win if it continued, whether Arthur still had something planned, and whether Leonardo could even stay conscious much longer.

Then Lavinia's flip phone vibrated.

She blinked and pulled it out, reading the message.

Her eyes widened.

Valerie noticed immediately.

"Lavinia? What is it?"

Lavinia stared at the screen for a second longer before closing the phone.

"We need to stop this."

Back on the battlefield, Arthur straightened atop Ddraig's head, his expression turning serious.

"Leo!"

He shouted across the devastation.

"This has gone on long enough!"

Leonardo looked up through Godzilla's eyes, panting.

"I know... But I'm… not done yet!"

Arthur shook his head.

"Ddraig's almost out of time. And I can tell you are too."

Ddraig snorted, though there was a hint of disappointment in his voice.

"Hmph. He's right. I'd rather end this properly than fade out mid-swing."

Godzilla let out a low growl as Leonardo clenched his fists.

He turned inward, looking at the restrained woman behind him.

"Mama…?"

She smiled gently.

"Your Balance Breaker won't hold much longer, my child."

Leonardo swallowed, then nodded.

"Then let's make our last breath count."

He raised his voice.

"Arthur! One last attack!"

Arthur grinned.

"Just how I like it. I'm proud of you, kid."

Godzilla's dorsal fins flared, glowing an intense violet as power surged through its massive body.

Ddraig drew in a deep breath, crimson fire spiraling into his jaws as Arthur pushed the Boosted Gear one final time.

"BOOST! BOOST! BOOST!BOOST! BOOST! BOOST!BOOST! BOOST! BOOST!BOOST! BOOST! BOOST!BOOST! BOOST! BOOST!"

Flames condensed, compressed, becoming almost blinding.

"BRING IT ON!"

Ddraig roared.

The two titans aimed at each other, energy swelling to catastrophic levels.

And just when they were about to reeasetheir respective breaths.

A magic circle flared to life between them.

"STOP!"

Lavinia appeared abruptly in midair, arms spread wide, her voice sharp and commanding.

Arthur's eyes went wide.

"Lavinia?!"

Leonardo gasped.

"W-What?!"

Both boys reacted on instinct, desperately jerking their aim upward at the last possible second.

Ddraig unleashed his Fire Breath.

Godzilla released its Atomic Breath.

Twin beams of crimson and violet tore into the artificial sky, ripping through it like paper, lighting the heavens with apocalyptic brilliance.

The release drained them completely.

The light faded, and the two titans slowly fell to the ruined ground.

Ddraig laughed weakly as his massive form began to dissolve into red particles.

"Heh… Such a shame it ended early… but I admit that I had fun."

Godzilla let out a tired, rumbling growl of agreement before its body shattered into purple light.

Georg's Dimension Create collapsed immediately afterward.

The world folded in on itself.

In the next instant, everyone reappeared inside one of New Camelot's massive training rooms.

Arthur almost dropped to one knee, breathing lightly.

Leonardo collapsed onto his hands and knees, completely exhausted.

Heracles groaned loudly.

"Awwww! Why'd it have to end there?!"

Georg frowned, looking around.

"That interruption was… unexpected."

Valerie simply shook her head.

"There's a reason it had to stop."

Arthur pushed himself up, turning toward Lavinia.

"You okay, Lav?"

He paused.

"But also, that was dangerous… Is there a reason you recklessly stepped in?"

Leonardo nodded weakly.

"Yeah… I wanted to see how it ended… But I didn't wanna hurt you..."

Lavinia sighed, looking at the two boys apologetically.

"Sorry. I really am. But Victoria just sent me an important message."

Arthur tilted his head.

"About what?"

She hesitated.

"…There are people here to see you."

Arthur frowned.

"Who?"

Lavinia continued.

"The Underworld's Gremory Household and two of the Four Great Satans."

The room went quiet.

"And one of them is..."

She paused for a second before she continued hesitantly.

"... Your father."

*Silence*

No one spoke.

All eyes turned to Arthur as he stood there, processing the weight of what he had just heard.

Arthur stared at her, the words sinking in slowly, with his voice barely coming out.

"My… father?"

Inside Avalon, the atmosphere was calm and warm, sunlight filtering gently through the open streets as Victoria walked ahead with practiced grace, her posture straight as she guided the guests through the heart of the town, her heels clicking softly against the stone path while the sound of laughter, conversation, and daily life surrounded them.

Serafall Leviathan skipped lightly beside her, still wearing her Miracle☆Levia-tan outfit without a shred of embarrassment, happily munching on a chocolate-and-strawberry crepe as if this were a casual stroll rather than a visit loaded with tension.

Her eyes were sparkling as she looked around at the lively streets filled with humans, devils, exorcists, and supernatural beings mingling freely.

"This place really is something else. I gotta say, Arthur really outdid himself. A harmonious town like this doesn't just happen, you know. You must be proud, Sirzechs."

Serafall said cheerfully between bites, spinning once as her skirt fluttered.

Sirzechs Lucifer walked just behind her, dressed sharply in his red tuxedo, his crimson hair swaying slightly as he slowed his pace to take everything in.

His gaze lingered on the townsfolk, on children running past mixed-species families, on shopkeepers chatting with customers without fear or prejudice, and for a moment, the weight in his chest felt heavier than anything he had ever faced.

"I am... More than I can put into words."

He said quietly, a genuine smile forming despite the guilt beneath it.

Behind him, Grayfia Lucifuge followed with her usual composure, hands folded neatly in front of her maid uniform, her eyes sharp and observant as always.

"I will remind you again, Lord Sirzechs, when we meet Arthur, you will conduct yourself properly. This is not the time for jokes, theatrics, or… impulsive behavior."

She said formally, though there was an unmistakable edge beneath her calm tone,

Sirzechs let out a small, awkward chuckle and rubbed the back of his head.

"I know, I know. I'll behave. Though honestly… I think just showing up in his life unannounced already makes me look bad."

From behind them came a sharp huff of annoyance.

Venelana Gremory stepped forward, holding a five-year-old red-haired child in her arms.

"You think?"

She said coldly.

"You were never present in your son's life, kept his existence away from our side of the family, and now you're worried about first impressions?"

Little Millicas Gremory shifted in her arms, peeking around with wide red eyes, clearly curious about everything he saw.

Zeoticus Gremory walked beside Venelana, holding Rias' hand as the young heiress gazed around Avalon with barely contained wonder, her blue eyes darting from a youkai shopkeeper to a dhampir couple chatting near a café.

"Your mother is right. You owe the young man far more than just words and apologies."

Zeoticus said evenly.

Venelana continued.

"Rias has been asking questions, Millicas deserves to know his brother, and yet you decided to shoulder everything alone. Foolish, Sirzechs. Absolutely foolish."

Sirzechs visibly shrank under her glare.

"I… thought I was protecting him."

He muttered.

Grayfia and Zeoticus exchanged a brief look, one filled with quiet pity.

Millicas tugged gently at Venelana's sleeve.

"Grandmother… are we really meeting my big brother?"

He asked, his voice small but excited.

Venelana's expression softened instantly as she looked down at him.

"Yes, Millicas. You'll finally meet him. An extraordinary boy… even if your father made everything unnecessarily complicated."

That last comment made Sirzechs wince, and Serafall snorted into her crepe, barely holding back laughter.

Just then, Victoria stopped and turned gracefully to face them, offering a polite bow.

"Esteemed guests. We have arrived at Master Arthur's residence."

She announced.

The group's attention shifted forward, and for a moment, no one spoke.

The mansion before them was elegant yet modest, its structure refined without excess, surrounded by carefully tended gardens bursting with life.

Bright sunflowers stood proudly near the entrance, their golden petals facing the sky, contrasting beautifully against the stone walls and greenery.

Rias tilted her head and blurted out.

"It's smaller than our house."

Zeoticus immediately cleared his throat.

"Rias, that was rude. A home's worth is not measured by size."

He said gently but firmly.

Rias flushed and quickly nodded.

"S-sorry, father…"

Venelana studied the building closely, her sharp eyes noting every detail, the flowers, the open design, the warmth radiating from the place.

"He has good taste. It suits him."

She said after a moment.

Victoria led them inside, the interior of the mansion welcoming and calm, filled with soft light and a subtle atmosphere that made even seasoned devils feel at ease.

She guided them into a refined waiting room furnished with comfortable seating and tasteful décor before turning to them once more.

"Please wait here. Master Arthur will be with you shortly. I will return with refreshments."

She said politely.

With another respectful bow, she exited the room, leaving the Gremory family behind.

Silence settled in the waiting room.

Sirzechs sat down slowly, resting his elbows on his knees, staring at the floor as thoughts churned in his mind.

Grayfia stood nearby, her posture straight but her expression unreadable, while Venelana took a seat with Millicas, gently smoothing the child's hair.

Zeoticus remained standing, hands behind his back, and Rias fidgeted nervously, glancing at the door every few seconds.

No one spoke, but everyone felt it.

They were about to meet Sizechs' firstborn, Arthur Pendragon.
