Alexa, Kilin and Harold were all sat down as they were awkwardly eating while the adults talked about older and more mature topics. Alexa just ate a meatball while Harold was picking at his chicken and Kilin was eating slowly. Mrs Lilian spoke up "So kids, what do you think about our guests?" Alexa's eyes examined over the guests as Harold said "Too serious." While Kilan said "Well they are alright." Alexa looked seeing that Mrs Lilian's serious look had shifted slightly, focusing on each guest with contemplation and thought.
Mrs Lilian turned around looking at Mrs Macdilin with a darkened expression. Her shadows were seen more clearly around her eyes and her hand tightened around her glass drink. The cooing of a bird was suddenly heard, making everyone turning around. There was a white small dove in a cage with a grey claws with yellow eyes as it started to become agitated as it started to flap it's wings against the cage. "Why is Malina acting up again?" Harold asked before Mrs Lilian got up "She hasn't been fed in a bit, I'll get some food for her." Mrs Lilian soon grabbed out a packet of small dead insects as she grabbed tweezers and gave her a small dead green insect. The dove stopped and ate it in enjoyment.
Mrs Lilian put the packet back and washed her hands as she sat down before Dean asked them "You got a dove pet?" Alexa nodded "Yeah! That is Malina. She is a young dove that Mum got for us." Alya soon said "Huh, I always wanted to keep an dove pet, unfortunately I don't want my cat to eat it." Mr Macdilin gave a hearty laugh "I feel you, Me and my wife got a cat that eats everything that eats everything that it finds edible." Alexa looked as the conversation turned light-hearted as people were starting to talk about less serious topics as the sound of talking had increased in loudness. Mrs Lilian soon got up calling a toast as they stood up putting their hands together and praying quietly.
"For Dean's cousin who been recovering from a stroke. We pray for his health for him to get better, Amen." She said as they repeated the amen part and prayed for him after a while. "For our guests, Mr and Mrs Macdilin who had come a long way to earn their job, Amen. And lastly Alya, who had suffered from financial abuse, Amen." They gave quiet prayers before sitting down and eating as Alexa worried for the guests. She soon asked Alya "Are you okay?" Alya nodded, cutting the fish apart before she said "Yes, the last few months had given me a opportunity to get away from my old manager, I'm a lot better now." She gave her a cup of water and drank it as she put it back down.
Alexa soon finished off her meal as she got up and said "I'm done with my own meal, I'll get going." She put it in the dishwasher as she left the room. Her brother and her friend looked at each other as they also finished up their dinner and went to follow her as they went up the stairs. Kilin opened the room seeing Alexa quietly reading a book as Harold looked with curiosity. He came inside as he soon asked her "You were hurt, what happened?" Alexa looked worried before she asked hesitantly "Would you believe me if I experienced a war?" Kilin looked with surprise while Harold was hesitant to believe her "You been in a war?" Kilin asked as Alexa nodded, it could definitely explain where she has been for the last few days. Kilin gave her a hug as Harold wondered what to say.
"You want to talk about this?" Harold asked as Alexa considered her options with consideration before shaking her head "No, I needed a moment away from the others. My mind is a little stuck for now." Alexa said as Kilin looked at Harold "I think we should talk to her a bit later. Let's go buy something for her." Harold was about argue but realized how a war could affect someone.
