Days had gone by since their departure from the Forgotten Court, but Prince Theron and Kim had long lost track of time. The journey wasn't easy, but they had no choice but to move forward; turning back was not an option.
"We can't go on horseback," Kim muttered, staring at the path before them.
Without objection, Prince Theron dismounted his horse and took what he could carry, which mostly contained a water jar and snacks for the road. His cloak covered him, shielding his little frame from the cold, and the man by his side made sure to carry more so they didn't run out soon.
The path before them was filled with tall trees and very little passage. The trees were so joined that one needed no witch to tell of the involvement of mystic forces.
"According to the map, this is the borderline between two worlds," Theron murmured, staring down at the map in his hands.
Kim nodded. "Yes, it is."
Both men turned toward each other. Kim extended a hand, and Theron took it without delay.
