Elias almost stumbled forward with baby Lior in his arms when Damon and Kallin came to his rescue.
"You're… still here," Elias asked his brothers, and they just nodded.
"We are not letting you go through this alone. And if they want a fight."
Elias held Damon's arm gently. "We won't give them a fight, and there will be no reason for one."
"Did you see the way they looked at you? Like you're not fit, " Damon half-yelled, but Elias's lips curved faintly.
"What is there to see? The throne goes down to my son. And honestly, I would give it up, and everything else, if I could have kept Rowan."
Damon supported him as they walked back to the western tower. The burned incense and heavy quietness brought back cruel reminders.
Elias had only just changed into comfortable clothes when Blake stepped in.
"The head maid is here to see you, Consort," he announced.
Elias nodded. "I will have her in the garden."
Blake nodded and closed the door behind him.
