Akeno looked at the potions laid out in front of her, a surprised look on her face. "So..." She said slowly, her mind reeling from the revelations I'd shown her. "You have RPG potions?" She asked.
"That's right," I nodded with a smile. "I'm sorry for not telling you, but in fairness these potions are the kind of things that people have to see in order to believe."
She just nodded as she stared at them, recognising the strategic value the potions held. After all, in the DxD world, the only sources of healing were either from the Phenex Family, precise magical healing while in the nude, or from special Sacred Gears like Twilight Healing.
"How much," she finally asked. If they had these potions in preparation for their rating game against Riser, then the chances of them losing would decrease. Maybe not a lot, but enough. There were only rules against Phenex Tears, not potions. If they could abuse that loophole, then they could potentially win.
"20,000 Yen for 5%, 50,000 for 10%, and 80,000 for 15%," I told her. "But if you buy 10 or more potions at once, you get a 10% discount. Plus, I also promised you that I'd knock off 50% from 3 purchases of your choice..." I smirked at her. "However, if you want to use that 50% to peak efficiency, I'd suggest something else."
"Oh?" Akeno slowly regained her composure, a teasing glint entering her eyes. "And what would that be?"
"Are you familiar with anime and manga?" I asked her.
Akeno's face twisted to something between exasperation and exhaustion. "More than I really need to be," she said drily. Rias would watch anything and force her and the others to watch with her.
"Then, are you familiar with the term 'System?'"
Akeno's teasing expression faded, her purple eyes widening in surprise. "... You're not serious, are you?" She asked.
For some reason, Rias really liked the isekai genre- so Akeno was very much familiar with 'systems' and how powerful they could be in various series.
I just smiled, staying silent and using the opportunity to use Analyse on Akeno finally.
Name: Akeno Himejima
Age: 18
Race: Reincarnated Devil (Fallen Angel/Human)
Job: Shrine Priestess Level 22, Maid Level 12, Merchant Level 8, Chef Level 5
Class: Electromancer Level 21, Lumomancer Level 1
Value: 380,000
I had to restrain a whistle as I saw her stats...
380,000? That was equivalent to 380 Million Yen, or around a quarter of a million dollars.
I was surprised to see she had both the maid and merchant jobs alongside Shrine Priestess, but my surprise faded when I actually thought things through.
Akeno would have definitely undergone some training from Grayfia on how to be a good Queen to her king- Rias. Therefore, she would definitely have some form of Maid Training. Merchant was probably the fact Akeno was likely the one who bought most of Rias's games and such.
Chef needed no mention. Akeno was a decent chef all things considered- obviously not on the level of someone like Erina or Hisako- but good enough to impress normal people.
"Oh my Maou, you're serious?" Akeno took my silence for confirmation, her mouth drying slightly. "You can just casually give people Systems?"
"Let me clarify, it's not the most extensive system," I told her. "It comes with two primary systems attached to it- the Job System, and the Class System. Jobs are anything that aren't directly combat or conflict related- Blacksmith, Enchanter, Alchemist, and so on. Classes are combat related, such as Barbarian, Assassin, Illusionist, and so on. Every single skill and magic that you have are also quantified under a ranking system from E to EX. Items are also classified from Common to God."
Akeno nodded, remaining silent as I explained things to her.
"Now, jobs will Level up by doing tasks related to those jobs and levelling up your job related skills. Meanwhile, Classes will level up primarily through combat. You can increase the level of your classes by training your abilities- but the best way is to spar with others or to fight against enemies. The closer in level the enemy is to you, the better the experience you get. If you fight someone weaker, you won't gain much. I think the most value you get out of the System is definitely the fact that you can visibly see progress you make, which helps keep you motivated in training."
"Also," I smiled slowly. "The best part about the system is that, once any of your Class Levels reach 40, you can change to another class. There might be racial restrictions I'm unaware of, and some classes are locked behind requirements- but otherwise it's free real estate."
She looked very considerate. "How much?" She asked.
"Five Million Yen," I told her. "But since you have that 50% off, it would be half of that."
"Isn't that too little?" She asked. "I won't undercharge you for something like this. In fact, I insist on paying more for something so useful. Twenty-Five Million."
I blinked in confusion... Did... Did she just jack up the price on her own?
Was she the scammer, or was I?
"There's really no need for that," I tried to tell her... I wasn't sure how convincing my own words sounded, honestly... That was Twenty-Five-Thousand Gold, after all! It was hard for me to resist.
"Not a single yen less," she said firmly. "I will pay you the proper value- and you will accept it."
"... Alright," I sighed. "Twenty-Five Million..."
I took back every bad thing I'd ever said about her! Akeno was truly the best girl!
"I'll also take all the potions you have in stock, but I won't use my 50% on any of them," she added.
"Alright," I nodded, keeping my face controlled, casual as I pulled out a card reader. "Your total comes out to 28,581,000 Yen."
She nodded and pulled out a jet black card before she swiped it.
You have obtained 28,581 Gold!
Your Dimensional Merchant Level has increased!
10 -- 20!
Haggling (C) has ranked up from (C) to (B)!
Another direct increase of 10 Levels, and a Rank-Up for Haggling!
And all that gold... Perfect~
"Right then, time to fulfil my end of the deal," I held out my hand to her. "Bestow."
A glow surrounded her, before the screen appeared before her eyes and they lit up.
"Thank you very much," Akeno said in a sweet voice. "I'll definitely bring President here with me sometime, is that okay?"
"By all means! More customers are always welcome!" I told her.
She smiled and stored away all the potions into her inventory. She gave me a wink before she turned and began to walk away, her hips swaying sensually.
I gulped.
"Ara, ara~" She purred out. "You're a naughty boy, Lynx-kun~" She smirked back at me playfully before she walked out.

That sound was bliss to my ears...~
I shook my head, putting Akeno's round ass out of my mind as I quickly opened up the Shop Store!
Without hesitation, I bought the Training Area for 10,000 Gold!
Another door appeared within the shop, this one sitting opposite across from the Dungeon. I quickly bought some plaques and placed them on either door, to help distinguish which one was which. Wouldn't do to have people getting confused, after all.
I let out a content sigh... Finally, a place I could practice my magic and my other abilities without causing damage to the shop. I'd been needing that so badly.
But first, I needed to restock.
I called Unum and Duae in as I purchased replacement potions. With my newfound wealth, I was able to double the amount of potions for each Level that I'd previously had in stock, and also buy 5 40% potion for each level, which I'd called 'Mid-Low.' Keep things simple and stick to what I know.
The two of them set about stocking the shelves according to my instructions, and I smiled with satisfaction at the sight of the previously empty shelves now being full.
The two of them set about stocking the shelves according to my instructions, and I smiled with satisfaction at the sight of the previously empty shelves now being full.
I flipped the sign of the store over to closed, ensuring nobody would be able to enter. "Unum, come in with me to get some training done in the room," I told them. "Duae, you continue to study magic. When you feel you understand enough, you can come into the room to practice as well."
They both nodded, Duae heading into the back while Unum stood by my side.
I slowly made my way into the training room, my chest thumping with excitement as I entered.
The room, at first appearance, looked to be a typical Dojo you'd expect from a Japanese High School or in an anime. Light streamed in through the windows, with trees visible outside as the scent of clean forest air filled the place.
"Seems to be the default," I mused aloud, glancing around before I willed Photon Ray to appear, holding it in my hand.
I directly cut one of the walls of the Dojo, slicing through the wall as though it were a hot knife through butter.
In seconds, the cut was mended and gone- as though I'd never cut at all.
I nodded in satisfaction... While I could change the surroundings to whatever I needed, I was perfectly fine with this Dojo being the default.
"Train as you like," I told Unum. "Try to develop your own speciality, it will make you stronger."
Unum nodded seriously, and a door formed in the dojo. They stepped out of it and into the outside, allowing me to have privacy for my own training.
I opened up my Skill and Magic panels and prioritised four.
Mana Burst and Swordsmanship for close-range attacks.
Runecraft for my main magic.
And then Shapeshift in order to be able to disguise myself when I went out and about.
With my goals clear in my mind, I pulled out the little book I kept in my inventory and flipped it open.
Runecraft required the use of Runes, obviously. However, I didn't know any runes. And books on various types of Runes in the store were very expensive.
So, I'd had an idea. Why shouldn't I create my own language to use?
So, I had done just that.
Using the English Language as the basis, I had swapped every letter with one another to create a unique language. Of course, I'd kept the vowels as vowels. It was perhaps closer to a Cipher than a Runic Language, but if I could get it to work?
Then I would have my own Runic Language. Something just mine.
The thought made me smile... I hummed as I took a seat, pulling free a pen, and began to translate english words into new words using my language/cipher.
"Right," I murmured. "Let's give this a try..." I lifted a finger and began to channel my magic.
Runes, like language, were all about belief. People believed that words meant certain things, and so they came to represent those things.
Fire, Feu, 火 (Hi), Огонь. They were all different, but they all meant the same thing.
Therefore, I had to believe. Believe that my words meant the same thing.
I took a deep breath and began to write slowly in the air with my glowing finger.
F E V P
"Fevp," I intoned, flicking the rune lightly upon its completion.
The rune glowed with light before it faded away, dull.
I frowned... Clearly, my belief wasn't strong enough.
I closed my eye and began to think... I began to link the two words I wanted in my mind- WIND and FEVP.
They were the same. Maybe they appeared different, but they were the same.
I told myself that over and over.
I slowly, methodically, wrote in the air once again.
F E V P
"Fevp."
The rune glimmered and shone before it transformed, a gust of wind filling the dojo and causing the pages of the book to flip and flap rapidly in the breeze.
You have created a new Runic Language!
What would you like to call this language?
I smiled slowly, my eye lighting up with joy. "Call it... Dimension Rune."
I had a lot of work to do~
