In the Kingdom of Ji, there was a legend about a blade used to win the heart of a woman.
The blade was called Changrong, and it was renowned as the sharpest sword ever forged by the master craftsman Mo Zhen.
Mo Zhen, a famed craftsman was in love with Yu Xue, the sister of a general Yu Liang. Yu Liang had opposed the marriage even though Mo Zhen had knelt in front of the mansion for three days and three nights without food or water. He had also been completely unimpressed by the gifts of gold and jade that Mo Zhen's disciples had brought to his door.
Legend said Mo Zhen searched until he came upon a fragment of dark iron, so dense that no flame could make it yield. He tried every fire known to men, yet it remained unmoved until, in desperation, he cut open his chest and let his heart's blood fall upon the iron. Only then did the black metal soften and bend to his will.
