Chapter 95 - Shatter

Han Ji watched in agony. His chest aches as if it had been carved by a blunt knife while he watched Gu Yuze desperately try to eat as he shed silent tears.

It was a chess game- too many players, too many secrets. When Han Ji stepped in to play, he was already late and he did not know a lot. He was so focused on the game that he forgot the chess piece was human.

Gu Yuze's hands moved shaking all the while, but he kept trying to bring the rice into his mouth. He picked up some fish to go with his rice.

"It's delicious." He said as he chewed slowly.

"Gu Yuze…" Not too far away, in front of him, Han Ji finally spoke.

"I'm alright." Gu Yuze tried to stretch his lips into a smile. It would be good if he could smile but it barely mattered. The tears wouldn't stop. The last time Gu Yuze could remember crying was when his father died and even then he had just shed a few tears.
