Chapter 54 - Inevitability of Ancient War

REVEALED!!! SHAKING THE WORLD!!! THE GREAT EXPLOSION IN THE NOCTHOLLOW SEA — THE SUN HAS RETURNED, THE ANCIENT WAR WILL OCCUR AGAIN — SIX CONTINENTS EDITION

Published under the Authority of the Central Government

The Nocthollow Sea once again becomes the center of global attention after the official investigation results are announced to the public. The great explosion previously assumed to be a natural phenomenon is now confirmed to be neither volcanic activity nor tectonic movement beneath the sea.

Researchers and professors from various leading academies conduct direct inspections at the site and analyze the residual energy left within the atmosphere and across the sea's surface. Based on their joint report, the source of the explosion contains energy characteristics not found in normal natural phenomena.

One of the most striking findings is the change in direction of the luminous phenomenon initially presumed to be a meteor. Ordinarily, luminous objects are seen descending from the sky toward the earth. However, eyewitness accounts and long-distance observations indicate the opposite pattern. The light is seen rising from the earth's surface into the sky in a swift and straight trajectory.

This reversal is regarded as a serious anomaly.

In its official statement, the Central Government declares that all indications point toward the awakening of an entity historically recorded in ancient texts as the "Sun." The term refers to a figure believed to have participated in the Ancient War, a massive conflict that once shook the Six Continents.

Nevertheless, authorities emphasize that the situation remains under surveillance. No order of military mobilization has been issued.

The news triggers widespread vigilance across multiple regions. Trade activity in several ports slows temporarily. Certain cities tighten gate security and intensify night patrols.

The Government urges the public not to spread unverified speculation. All official information will be released through authorized governmental channels.

In an additional statement, authorities mention that potential conflict may still be avoided. War will not occur if the individual sought by the Sun entity willingly surrenders and undergoes the process determined by the authorities of the Six Continents.

The identity of that individual is not disclosed.

An emergency assembly of the Six Continents is scheduled in the near future. Representatives from each region will convene to discuss collective measures, including possible defensive and diplomatic responses.

The Central Government reiterates that stability remains the primary priority. All forces are placed on alert but instructed not to undertake aggressive action without direct command.

The public is advised to remain calm and continue daily activities with reasonable caution. Further developments will be published following the official assembly.

The situation in the Nocthollow Sea remains under strict observation. Thus far, no subsequent explosions are detected. Energy monitoring in the region continues around the clock.

Inside an office filled with stacks of documents, Krieger stands behind his desk holding the latest newspaper.

"Damn it, what is wrong with these storytellers lately?! Are they writing while intoxicated?!" he exclaims in irritation.

The newspaper is thrown onto the desk, among unfinished official reports awaiting review.

"Huft, that is indeed the reality, Father," Rose replies from not far away.

"We still do not know where Hiro is or how he is. He disappears without a single trace," Krieger continues, his tone lower.

The room falls silent for a moment. Only the wind from the window is heard.

"Hiro once tells me that he wishes to travel alone after I finally meet one of you," Rose says softly. "That is what keeps me calm and prevents me from worrying excessively about where he is now."

Krieger looks at his daughter.

"So you believe he remains well until now, my child?" he asks.

Rose nods, lifting her head to look directly at him.

"Do not worry about him too much," she says. "He has faced many hardships in his life. And I am fortunate to have been with him before."

---

"Huft, everything always ends with the same conclusion," I say quietly.

"To me, that is merely another obstacle in your life, my child. Do you know what I think? Confront them. Prove that you deserve to li—" The words are interrupted.

"Lucifer is concerned about the Paragon figure, the Moon, within this vessel," I say calmly. "That is what I think, Doctor. I indeed deserve to live. However, it is time to surrender for the sake of the world's peace."

Silence follows those words.

"Sir, we sincerely wish for you to remain here," Nero says. "Do you not wish the same?"

A slow nod and a faint smile form.

"I am at peace with all of you," I reply. "Yet out there, the people are not at peace because of my presence. Therefore… the decision is made."

---

Not a single Elemental Sovereign remains upon the earth at present. They are dispatched into outer space to seek and locate the figure regarded as a threat—the Tenth Element, Light.

Lucifer himself remains somewhere upon the earth's surface. He chooses to stay and guard the planet targeted by the Sovereign of Light, Omni-Core.

His body, once frail from prolonged confinement, gradually changes. Training continues to build muscle, striving to sustain the immense power contained within.

The wind blows gently, carrying a newspaper drifting from afar until it lands not far away. Steps move closer, the paper is taken, and its contents are scanned briefly.

"Fools," he mutters. "Cruel humans who act as they please for personal gain."

The newspaper lowers slightly.

"The cosmic war with that entity cannot be prevented," he says with a long exhale. "And now this? Damn them."

His hand tightens, crumpling the paper.

"I pity you, my child," he continues in a lower voice. "Living in a place inhabited by people like this."

His gaze shifts toward the horizon.

"Soon I will stand among you. I will seek the mastermind behind all of this… even if a great war must follow."
