Nobility Ranking
On the Arun Continent, nobles loved to classify and rank themselves with obsessive precision—especially when it came to land and authority. Amongst the aristocracy, status was everything.
Noble ranks were broadly divided into Classes, depending on the size and value of their fiefdoms. Higher nobility was even further divided into upper and lower ranks to highlight the disparity between ranks:
Class 0: The Royal Family.

Class 1: Ducal families.
Upper Class 1: Grand Duchies.
Lower Class 1: Regular Duchies.

Class 2: Marcher families.
Upper Class 2: Margraves.
Lower Class 2: Marquises.

Class 3: Count Families.
Upper Class 3: Earls.
Lower Class 3: Counts.

Class 4: Viscounts.
Class 5: Barons.
Class 6: Baronets.
Class 7 (Unofficial): Knights.
Though many higher nobles refused to recognise knights as true nobility.
Pangea Ascension/ Cultivation Rankings
Drawing from the nobility's obsessions with class and rank, the ascension or cultivation ranking systems also underwent a change from the simple Class system (from weakest Class 0 – highest Class ???) to a named system that conveyed the difference in class.
Class 0 = Trainee (Warrior) / Acolyte (Mage)
Class 1 = Beginner (Warrior) / (Mage)
Class 2 = Intermediate (Warrior) / (Mage)
Class 3 = Elite (Warrior) / (Mage)
Class 4 = Veteran (Warrior) / Great (Mage)
Class 5 = Saint (Warrior) / Grand (Mage)
Class 6 = Legendary (Warrior) / (Mage)
Class 7 = Epic (Warrior) / Archmage (Mage)
Class 8 = ??? (Warrior) / ??? (Mage)
Warlock use the same Class rank naming system as Mage.
As for beasts, since no one could be bothered to name their class ranks, they have continued to be named according to the Class system i.e. Class 1 so-so Beast and so on.
Verdantis Ascension Ranking
After arriving on the Verdantis Plane, Alex and his expedition party learned the plane also uses its own Class naming system, though they weren't sophisticated enough to differentiate between warriors and the magical class as is done on Pangea.
Class 0 = (Non-existent on Verdantis)
Class 1 = Bronze
Class 2 = Silver
Class 3 = Gold
Class 4 = Combat Master
Class 5 = Combat Saint
Class 6 = Combat Sage
Class 7 = (Non-existent as class rank is only help by plane's Pantheon).
