Standing on the balcony, Zane took a long, slow drag from his cigar with his eyes closed. The soft glow of the moonlight sprawled across the vast compound yet barely hid his turmoil.
"So," Zane's voice dropped dangerously low, fury coiled beneath every word, "you didn't see those leeches lurking around? Or did they just appear out of nowhere?"
"Yes, Big Boss… we did," Terry answered, his voice trembling under the weight of Zane's simmering rage, cold as the freezing night air. "But we dealt with them before they could harm Madam."
Beside him, Jerry remained frozen, his body quivering as if gripped by a sudden fever. He could only nod in agreement.
They wanted to hide the media incident from Zane, but they had no idea how this terrifying man had found out.
Zane's eyes flickered open as he looked at the two men. They had been avoiding him since the incident, but they were ill-fated to stay hidden as long as they worked under him.
