Chapter 39 - Volume 1 Chapter 39: Ning Chu Is Getting Better-Looking

Volume 1 Chapter 39: Ning Chu Is Getting Better-Looking

"A bar? I've never been to one. I heard the drinks there are really expensive."

"Wen Yang, you went last week—tell me about it."

"How would I know? It was just really loud…"

Later on, Ning Chu sat in the back seat, staring blankly out the window at the passing scenery, the chatter of his roommates filling his ears.

Come to think of it, he had never been to a bar either. Being willing to go along with Zhang Shaoqing's idea also involved a small, selfish motive of his own.

The bar-related storyline had already completely ended. He didn't need to worry about Wen Yang getting drunk and being hit on by heroines. That little virgin was timid enough as it was—ordinary girls wouldn't be as proactive as the hentai heroines, so there shouldn't be much to worry about.

Even so, he still preferred his roommates to all be dead-homebody types like Wang Jie. He's so well-behaved~

"My car's not bad, right? My mom bought it for me on my eighteenth birthday—over four hundred thousand," Zhang Shaoqing said, showing off.

Ning Chu glanced at the interior. His resentment toward the rich made him click his tongue in displeasure.

"Hey~ your reincarnation RNG just sucks! What are you clicking your tongue for?"

With an attitude this punchable, he was going to get beaten up sooner or later!

"Do you guys have driver's licenses? I usually leave this car parked on campus. If you need it, you can just take it out and drive," Zhang Shaoqing continued to show off his little car, like flaunting a rare skin in a game. "I don't drive much anyway. Most days I can't be bothered to leave campus."

"Nope. Planning to get one during summer vacation," Wang Jie shook his head.

"Me neither." Wen Yang suddenly realized something. "If you're the only one with a license, then how are we getting back tonight?"

"..."

After a moment of silence, Zhang Shaoqing answered casually, "Stay at a hotel? The four of us can just book a double room."

"No!" Ning Chu immediately refused, stern and decisive. "Get a designated driver!"

"No way. You'd let someone else drive your wife?"

"???"

Who was it that just said we could drive your car if we had licenses?!

Ning Chu's head was full of question marks. He leaned his head against the window in silence, really not wanting to argue with Zhang Shaoqing anymore.

Since the school was located halfway up a mountain in the suburbs, even the nearest bar was over half an hour away by car. He yawned, closed his eyes, and decided to rest.

They'd been doing military training all day lately—who knew how his roommates still managed to have so much energy?

About ten minutes later, Wen Yang heard soft, steady breathing. He instinctively turned his head and saw Ning Chu leaning sideways against the car door, eyes closed, sleeping soundly.

"He fell asleep already?" Zhang Shaoqing joked casually. "Why is he sleepy all the time? Wang Jie, is it because your snoring keeps him up at night?"

"I can't help snoring…"

The voices in the car grew much quieter, even the speed becoming smooth and steady.

With nothing else to do, Wen Yang's gaze settled on Ning Chu's sleeping face.

His eyelashes were long, curled upward like little brushes. His skin was fair and delicate, almost flawless. His features were refined and petite; his lips were a pale pink, moist and glossy. The plump cupid's bow made that cherry-like mouth especially eye-catching.

Perhaps because he was deeply asleep, the corners of his eyes were tinted with a faint blush. Even while sleeping, he carried a fox-like allure.

Wen Yang nodded with an expression that said just as I thought.

This roommate of his had somehow become prettier without him noticing…

Back then, Ning Chu's face had been as youthful as a little pretty boy's, making Wen Yang unconsciously treat him like a junior who needed looking after. His face had had a few minor flaws—not nearly as refined as it was now, and certainly without anything that could be called "charm."

Honestly, Ning Chu was starting to look more and more like a girl.

At first, it was just that his build leaned toward a girl's petite frame. Later came the slightly exaggerated chest muscles. After that, the perky little butt that could stretch tight against his pants. And now—even his face had taken on a distinctly feminine quality.

"Could he really be a girl?" Wen Yang asked curiously, glancing down toward Ning Chu's lower body.

If he really were a girl, then back at the amusement park, in the public restroom, how could Ning Chu have stared at his dick with a face full of amazement?

No matter how bold a girl was, there was no way she could be that shameless, right?

"A girl? What girl?" Wang Jie turned around, glanced at Ning Chu, and complained, "You're not talking about Ning Chu, are you? How could he possibly be a girl? Are you so desperate for girls that you've lost your mind?"

"Uh…"

"Didn't you see the people over in the art campus this afternoon? Some of those guys look even more feminine than girls. Ning Chu's already pretty restrained by comparison."

"That… makes sense."

Zhang Shaoqing, however, held a different opinion. "I think he's just preparing to go to Thailand. Hey, what do you think—bar lighting is really dark. Could someone mistake him for a girl?"

"Then you'd have to put a wig on him first."

"True… Then do you think there might be some gay guy who's into his type?"

"You really can't think about anything nice, can you?" Wen Yang said helplessly. "You two must've been enemies in your past lives."

He glanced at Ning Chu beside him, imagining what he'd look like wearing a wig…

He'd seen plenty of pretty girls before, and by all rights his standards were pretty high. Yet when he imagined Ning Chu dressed as a girl, he surprisingly felt… it wouldn't be bad.

Just a couple of days ago, he'd still thought Ning Chu was just a fairly delicate and cute guy—nothing comparable to a girl at all.

Their conversation disturbed Ning Chu. He cracked his eyes open a sliver, unwilling to move, and muttered softly, "Stop talking… it's noisy as hell."

"We're almost there."

"Really?"

He tilted his head slightly to look out the window and found that the scenery outside had shifted from sparsely populated suburban stretches to rows of low-rise buildings.

When they reached a night market area, Zhang Shaoqing pulled over to the roadside and turned back to them. "Get out! How about grabbing some barbecue first?"

Before anyone could respond, he showed off his nouveau-riche side again. "My treat!"

"Let's go, let's go!" Wang Jie hopped out of the car first, full of excitement.

Yawning nonstop, Ning Chu rubbed his sleepy eyes and pushed the door open. As he stepped out, he looked up at the cityscape before him and couldn't help letting out a gasp of amazement.

This is the little hentai novel I wrote?

This area looked roughly like the level of development of a county-level city in his previous life. Along the street were rows of two- or three-story shops, with seven- or eight-story residential buildings making up the majority. In the distance, only a few high-rises could be seen.

The streets were somewhat narrow, but the greenery on both sides was well maintained. Looking up, the starry sky was almost completely obscured by tree branches and leaves.

It was just a self-indulgent little hentai novel for fun, yet it had somehow spawned such a vast and realistic world.

Ning Chu suddenly snapped back to reality—only to find that Zhang Shaoqing and Wang Jie had already run off. He felt a flicker of panic instinctively, but when he turned his head, he saw Wen Yang standing nearby with his arms crossed, watching him.

"Why aren't you moving? What are you spacing out for?" Wen Yang found it amusing. "Don't tell me you grew up in some mountain village—why do you look like you've never seen the world?"

"Not really." Ning Chu shook his head, his gaze sweeping over Wen Yang.

"What now?"

"When we get to the bar, drink less. Oh, right! Shaoqing and Wang Jie too! Help me keep an eye on them—don't let them get led astray by bad women…"

"???"

Wen Yang's face instantly turned into a confused Black guy meme. After a pause, he complained, "What's wrong with you? Do you have some kind of purity obsession? Anyone who's touched a woman isn't worthy of being your roommate?"

"Y-Yeah!" Ning Chu couldn't figure out how to explain it, so he simply answered righteously in a joking tone.

"Damn," Wen Yang said. "So just because you can't find a girlfriend, the entire dorm has to suffer with you."
