Chapter 428 - Chapter 428

"What a powerful move, and it only requires a five-second cooldown."

Perspective determines how such power is perceived.

Tsunade's tone held no trace of despair whatsoever—it was filled entirely with awe.

Even though she had seen Nagato use [Shinra Tensei] many times before, she still couldn't help but be awed.

In her eyes, such a divine technique deserved endless praise!

"This is nothing yet. There's an even more decisive move coming~"

Kawaki nearly slipped but caught himself in time.

He had never mentioned this ability of the Rinnegan to anyone—not even Tsunade.

He truly hoped Nagato would never need to use this jutsu.

It was a blessing he offered to the younger generation.

"What ultimate move?"

Tsunade perked up instantly and pressed him for an answer.

"The strongest sealing technique in the entire history of the Ninja World."

Kawaki spoke firmly. Considering all of Naruto's battles, [Chibaku Tensei] truly deserved the title of the most powerful sealing jutsu.

It just came in two versions—one at the Six Paths level, the other ordinary.

"Are you sure?"

Skepticism flickered in Tsunade's eyes as she questioned the truth in Kawaki's words.

"Believe me or not—it'll become clear soon enough."

Kawaki knew perfectly well that the current situation against Two-Tails hadn't reached the point where [Chibaku Tensei] was necessary.

Since he couldn't demonstrate it right here and now…

Anything he said now would sound painfully hollow.

After all, considering his reputation in Sealing Techniques, making such a claim lacked persuasive weight.

"Well then, I'll just wait and see."

Tsunade felt satisfied by Kawaki's self-awareness and giggled softly while covering her mouth.

After their brief exchange, both turned their attention back toward the barrier.

Inside, he gave Nonou a reassuring glance before slowly stepping toward the deep crater.

With each step closer, his footsteps grew heavier. Surprisingly, the Two-Tails actually began retreating.

After only a few exchanges, it was already completely terrified!

It understood clearly—this man before it was an overwhelmingly powerful presence it could never defeat.

"Surrender already?"

Nagato stopped at the edge of the pit, now towering above the Two-Tails.

The pressure in those eyes eclipsed even the beast's own.

"What do you want me to do exactly?"

Though it craved freedom, it valued survival above all else.

It had no intention of dying unless absolutely necessary.

"It's quite simple, actually."

"Just let me pierce these through your body."

With the gentlest tone, Nagato spoke the cruelest words.

As he shook his hands slightly, countless thick black rods piled up along the crater's edge.

"So you're leaving me no way out, huh?"

Eyeing the rods, now significantly thicker than before, the Two-Tails looked on fearfully.

Of course—that guy wanted to turn it into a puppet.

"This is just a precaution."

"As long as you obey, I promise I won't control your body."

Nagato didn't hide anything—he essentially admitted the purpose of the black rods.

Although his words were sincere and truthful, the Two-Tails still had no reason to believe him.

It couldn't gamble its entire feline existence on mere verbal assurances.

"I'll submit to you—but I won't become your puppet."

The Two-Tails attempted to negotiate, at least recognizing that Nagato had no intention of sealing it again.

Humans only live for a few decades, while I am eternal. Once Nagato is gone, I'll be free once more.

At this thought, a faint, barely noticeable smile flickered across the Two-Tails' lips.

You're not in a position to negotiate with me.

If you won't accept my terms, then I'll make you comply by force.

Nagato almost thought he'd knocked the Two-Tails senseless—how else could it still be smiling?

But he felt no sympathy. He left the beast with no choice.

He couldn't possibly allow the Two-Tails to remain in the Land of Rain without any restraint.

That would create too many instabilities and unknown variables.

Before his last words even faded, Nagato had already risen high into the air.

Against the crimson barrier, the Two-Tails looked up at him like he was a god.

Fear made it stagger back repeatedly, its eyes devoid of any will to fight.

What kind of attack was coming next?

Would it die?

The thought brought its mind to the edge of collapse.

[Water Release: Water Dragon Biting Explosion.]

Nagato didn't keep the Two-Tails waiting long, swiftly forming several hand seals and unleashing the ultimate technique created by Tobirama.

The immense chakra fluctuations drew gasps of astonishment from those outside the barrier, while the Two-Tails, like a startled bird, glanced downward nervously.

The deep crater provided favorable conditions for Nagato, and the water technique perfectly countered the Two-Tails' innate Fire Release.

Before the beast could push off to escape, a small lake quickly engulfed it.

In the next instant, the Two-Tails was violently hurled skyward like a toy caught in a raging whirlpool.

As it fell, the blue flames that covered its body burned noticeably dimmer.

With no way to gain leverage midair, the creature endured the pain and could only be thankful to still be alive.

However, Nagato's assault wasn't over. The ascending whirlpool condensed into a roaring water dragon descending from above.

No!

The Two-Tails' scream was drowned out by the crashing water as it was smashed back into the crater.

Watching the turbulent waters inside the deep crater, the Two-Tails remained unseen for quite some time.

Its chakra feels weaker.

Frowning, Nagato wondered if he had accidentally killed the Two-Tails.

That wasn't what he intended.

Slowly descending, Nagato planned to disperse the lake to investigate further.

Just as he prepared to act, a massive energy sphere burst forth from beneath the water.

Another Tailed Beast Ball!

But this time, the target wasn't Nagato—it was the barrier.

The Two-Tails followed closely behind its attack, its movements noticeably sluggish, its injuries clearly severe.

Its former glory was gone.

A last-ditch effort, huh?

Nagato realized that due to its serious wounds, the Two-Tails' chakra regeneration couldn't keep up with its consumption rate.

This Tailed Beast Ball was truly its last hope!

A faint smirk tugged at Nagato's lips as he made no move to interfere.

Already picturing the despair on the Two-Tails' face, he mused—really? Another Tailed Beast Ball against the Four Red Yang Formation?

This wasn't exactly confidence in the ninjutsu itself, but rather confidence in Kawaki.

The teacher said it would work, so it would.

Nagato hovered midair, arms crossed, silently watching.

He watched the Tailed Beast Ball approach Kakuzu. He watched Kakuzu's pupils suddenly contract.

"You really think we're your breakthrough point?"

"Dream on."

"Exactly."

Yahiko and his two companions looked positively thrilled—they were finally getting a chance to contribute.

Kakuzu didn't respond. His eyes locked onto the half-mountain-sized Tailed Beast Ball, cold sweat already beading on his forehead.

Was he afraid of death? Absolutely. Terrified.

The older you get, the more cautious you become.

If he hadn't feared death, he'd have been dead long ago.

Kakuzu swallowed hard—the Tailed Beast Ball was now just inches away.

"Sorry, but I'm not that brave."

Kakuzu tightly shut his eyes and tried to pull his hands away.

But for some reason, his hands wouldn't budge, continuing to channel chakra relentlessly.

"Screw it—just die already, damn it!"

He opened his eyes. *Bang!*

A deafening explosion erupted, once again engulfing the battlefield in smoke and dust.
