Rachel's phone suddenly buzzed. On the other end was Madam Turner, her voice trembling with panic.
"Rachel… Lauren and Liam have been taken by Jonathan Quintero! What should we do? She told me not to worry, but the more I think about it, the more anxious I get! I've called her phone over and over, but no one's answering!"
Rachel froze in shock. "What? What happened? Are you still in Shen City?"
"Yes, we were about to check into the hotel when Lauren took Liam to the restroom. I waited and waited, but they never came back. When I called her, she said she was with Jonathan Quintero…"
Madam Turner's voice cracked as she spoke, almost breaking into tears.
Rachel took a steadying breath, trying to calm her. "Aunt, don't panic. I'll find a way to help. I'll call you back soon."
After hanging up, Rachel's expression darkened. She had thought Lauren would be safer in Golden City, far from Jonathan Quintero.
But now… he had found her and taken both her and Liam!
