"I want to see you, no matter the time," she said softly, her voice sweet and filled with sincerity. "Kieran, I really feel so lucky that you like me… and I like you too."
Compared to Rachel, she felt much luckier and that thought only made her heart ache for her friend even more.
"Why are you suddenly saying all this?" Kieran looked at her, confused by her sudden words.
But deep down, her confession made something warm bloom in his chest.
"I went to visit Rachel today," Josephine said quietly. "She told me that she and Jeffrey are acting like siblings again because of some issues. I know she's trying to forget him, but it's only making everything more complicated."
After a short pause, Josephine frowned, her tone laced with frustration. "I really don't understand what Jeffrey's thinking. He clearly cares about Rachel, but then he says he wants to break up with her. They say a woman's heart is as deep as the ocean, but honestly, I think his heart is the real mystery."
