Rachel jumped in surprise, but then she realized the person now holding her was Jeffrey.
"You... what are you doing here?" Rachel blurted out, immediately regretting the question.
Of course he was here.
She'd come to the station with the bodyguards he assigned to her. They must have reported everything to him the second it happened.
"Do you not want to see me, sis?" Jeffrey asked, his voice deceptively soft.
He raised his hand, subtly brushing it over the places on her arms and back where Garrett Vincent had just touched her, as if he could physically erase the other man's presence.
Rachel stiffened at the possessive gesture, but Jeffrey had already turned his icy gaze to Garrett Vincent. "I told you," he said, his voice dropping to a dangerous low, "you can't touch her."
Garrett Vincent frowned slightly, his own sharp eyes narrowing into slits. "But I have to."
That one, simple statement was packed with so much determination it was almost a physical force.
