Rachel shot a desperate glare at Finn, silently begging him to help move Jeffrey over to the couch.
But Finn just gave an awkward, helpless chuckle. "Um... Master Jeffrey will be in your care for the night, Miss Diaz," he said, already backing away. "I'll come by to pick him up first thing in the morning. If you need anything tonight, anything at all, please feel free to call me."
After saying that, Finn quickly placed one of his business cards on the small cabinet by the door and, before Rachel could protest, he practically fled, pulling the door shut behind him.
A massive wave of helplessness washed over her.
It was clear Finn was absolutely determined to abandon Jeffrey here for the entire night.
But... spending the whole night alone in this small apartment with him?
She gritted her teeth, took a deep breath, and decided the only thing she could do was try to drag him toward the bed.
