The way he was staring at her belly was making her feel all shy. "Also... my period hasn't come this month."
She added the last part weakly.
He thought about it for a moment. If that was the case... then there was indeed a real possibility she could be pregnant.

"We can find out for sure by getting a blood test at the hospital tomorrow," Kieran said, his voice steady.
Hearing that, a wave of pure anxiety washed over Josephine. "Do we really have to go to the hospital for a blood test? Can't we just, like, buy a pregnancy test kit and check at home? It's way simpler!"
